KUCHING, 3 Dec 21-The Malaysian and Indonesian LATMA ELANG MALINDO Series 28/2021 between the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and the Indonesian National Armed Forces-Air Force (TNI-AU) has officially closed on 3 December 21 since it started on 28 November 2021. The closing speech of the exercise was presented by Colonel PNB Sidek Setiyono as the Joint Exercise Director (Ex Dir) and organized by TNI-AU this year through a video conference from Supadio Air Base, Pontianak, Indonesia and at Dewan Setia, Kuching Air Base.

LATMA ELANG MALINDO series this time saw both air forces optimize their capabilities of assets and personnel in carrying out all missions that have been planned to achieve the set objectives. In essence, this joint exercise aims to enhance operational cooperation, handling of operational procedures as well as to strengthen the good relations already established between the two countries.

LATMA ELANG MALINDO is organized every two years on a rotating basis and the implementation this time is based on the concept of “Field Training Exercise” (FTX) which focuses on joint operations for the purpose of enhancing air operations capability.

Joint Exercise Director, Colonel Mohd Najib bin Saad @ Salleh RMAF also delivered a speech on behalf of RMAF before the souvenir presentation session between the two parties.

Head of the Exercise Secretariat, Lieutenant Colonel Shaharudin bin Mohd Said RMAF presented souvenirs symbolically on behalf of the TNI-AU to the RMAF Exercise Director and witnessed by Kuching Air Base Commander, Colonel Mohd Azwan bin Mohd Pohari RMAF as well as both teams by video conference.

LATMA ELANG MALINDO this time also takes into account the implementation of joint exercises by adapting new norms in line with compliance with SOP Covid-19 which is one of the improvements to the implementation of a joint exercise.

LATMA ELANG MALINDO SIRI 28/2021 BUKTI KEMAMPUAN KEBOLEHOPERASIAN TUDM DAN TNI-AU DALAM MEMPERKUKUHKAN LAGI HUBUNGAN BAIK MALAYSIA – INDONESIA

KUCHING, 3 Dis 21 – Latihan Bersama Elang Malaysia dan Indonesia Siri 28/2021 (LATMA ELANG MALINDO) di antara Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) dan Tentera Nasional Indonesia – Angkatan Udara (TNI-AU) telah melabuhkan tirai secara rasminya pada 3 Disember 21 sejak ia bermula pada 28 November 2021. Ucapan penutup eksesais telah disempurnakan oleh Kolonel PNB Sidek Setiyono selaku Pengarah Eksesais Bersama (ExDir) dan penganjur oleh TNI-AU pada tahun ini menerusi sesi persidangan video (video conference) yang dipancarkan dari Pangkalan Udara Supadio, Pontianak, Indonesia dan di Dewan Setia, Pangkalan Udara Kuching.

LATMA ELANG MALINDO siri kali ini menyaksikan keupayaan kedua-dua angkatan udara mengoptimumkan kemampuan aset dan anggota dalam melaksanakan segala misi yang telah dirancang bagi mencapai objektif yang ditetapkan. Pada dasarnya latihan bersama ini bertujuan untuk mempertingkatkan kerjasama operasi, pengendalian prosedur operasi selain untuk memperkukuhkan hubungan baik yang telah sedia terjalin di antara kedua-dua negara.

LATMA ELANG MALINDO dianjurkan setiap dua tahun secara bergilir-gilir dan pelaksanaan pada kali ini adalah berkonsepkan “Field Training Exercise” (FTX) yang memberi tumpuan kepada operasi secara gabungan bagi tujuan untuk mempertingkatkan keupayaan pengoperasian udara.

Pengarah Eksesais Bersama, Kolonel Mohd Najib bin Saad @ Salleh TUDM turut menyampaikan ucapan mewakili TUDM sebelum sesi penyampaian cenderahati di antara kedua-dua pihak. Ketua Sekretariat Eksesais, Leftenan Kolonel Shaharudin bin Mohd Said TUDM telah menyampaikan cenderahati secara simbolik mewakili pihak TNI-AU kepada Pengarah Eksesais TUDM serta disaksikan oleh Komander Pangkalan Udara Kuching, Kolonel Mohd Azwan bin Mohd Pohari TUDM selain kedua-dua pasukan secara persidangan video.

LATMA ELANG MALINDO kali ini turut mengambilkira pelaksanaan eksesais bersama dengan mengadaptasi norma baharu selaras pematuhan terhadap SOP Covid-19 yang menjadi antara penambahbaikan terhadap pelaksanaan sesuatu eksesais bersama.
