KUALA LUMPUR, 25 May 2022 – The Chief of Defence Forces of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, General Chalermphon Srisawasdi began his official visit to Malaysia with his courtesy call on the Malaysian Armed Forces Chief of Defence Force, General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hj. Affendi bin Buang TUDM at Wisma Pertahananan today.

His arrival was welcomed by General Tan Sri Affendi and Service Chiefs and was given the honour of inspecting the Main Guard of Honour (KKU) from the First Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment (1 RMR) with 3 officers and 103 members of other ranks led by Maj Mohd Noornazmin bin Abd Rahim.

After inspecting the parade, he was introduced to the Senior Officers of the MAF before being taken to Ruang Perkasa for the official courtesy call session.

The visit of the Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces with the delegation is his first official visit since taking over the post of Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces on 1 October 2020.

This official visit from the top leadership of the Royal Thai Armed Forces is also the first for the Malaysian Armed Forces since the country went through the Endemic phase starting April 1.

Indeed this official visit also supports the 4th Thrust in the Supreme Command of General Tan Sri Affendi as the 21st CDF in Translating the Defence White Paper through the strengthening of international defence relations.

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 Mei 2022 – Panglima Angkatan Tentera Diraja Thailand, Jeneral Chalermphon Srisawasdi memulakan lawatan rasminya ke Malaysia dengan Kunjungan Hormat beliau kepada Panglima Angkatan Tentera Malaysia, Jeneral Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hj. Affendi bin Buang TUDM di Wisma Pertahananan hari ini.

Ketibaan beliau di sambut oleh Jeneral Tan Sri Affendi serta Panglima-Panglima Perkhidmatan dan seterusnya diberikan penghormatan memeriksa Kawalan Kehormatan Utama (KKU) dari Batalion Pertama Rejimen Askar Melayu Diraja (1 RAMD) seramai 3 pegawai dan 103 anggota lain-lain pangkat di ketuai Mej Mohd Noornazmin bin Abd Rahim.
Sesuai memeriksa perbarisan, beliau telah diperkenalkan dengan Pegawai-pegawai Kanan ATM sebelum di bawa ke Ruang Perkasa bagi sesi kunjungan hormat rasmi berkenaan.

Lawatan Panglima Angkatan Tentera Diraja Thailand ini bersama delegasi merupakan lawatan rasmi pertama beliau sejak mengambil alih jawatan Panglima Angkatan Tentera Diraja Thailand pada 1 Oktober 2020.

Lawatan Rasmi dari kepimpinan tertinggi Angkatan Tentera Diraja Thailand ini juga merupakan pertama bagi Angkatan Tentera Malaysia sejak negara melalui fasa Endemik bermula 1 April yang lalu.

Sesunguhnya lawatan rasmi ini juga menyokong Teras Ke-4 dalam Perintah Ulung Jeneral Tan Sri Affendi sebagai Panglima Angkatan Tentera Ke-21 dalam Menterjemahkan Kertas Putih Pertahanan melalui pemerkasaan hubungan pertahanan antarabangsa.
