BANGKOK, 20 July 2022 – The Chief of Army (COA), General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Zamrose bin Mohd Zain paid a courtesy call on the Commander-in-Chief Royal Thai Army (RTA), General Narongpan Jittkaewtae.

The courtesy call was in conjunction with the COA’s Official Visit to Thailand which lasted for five days from 20 to 24 July 2022. It aims to further strengthen defence diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Thailand.

The arrival of Tan Sri COA at the Royal Thai Army Headquaters (RTA HQ) was greeted by the RTA Commander-in-Chief who started with the inspection of the Main Guard of Honour.

Next was a visit to the Royal Thai Army Museum and ended with a Courtesy Visit by Tan Sri COA to the Commander-in-Chief of RTA at his office.

Also present were Assistant Chief of Staff Operations and Training, Major General Malek Razak bin Sulaiman, Assistant Chief of Staff Intelligence, Major General Datuk Hamzah bin Haji Ali, Malaysian Defense Adviser to Thailand, Brigadier General Samsul Rizal bin Musa, Director of the Army Secretariat, Colonel Burhan bin Sagoni and Malaysia’s Assistant Defence Adviser to Thailand, Major Syaffiza bin Haji Abdul Razak.

Military diplomatic relations that involve bilateral cooperation are in line with the Fourth Pillar of the 28th COA Supreme Order, which is ‘Strengthening Defence Relations’ which can strengthen defence cooperation with friendly countries.

KUNJUNGAN HORMAT PANGLIMA TENTERA DARAT KEPADA COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF ROYAL THAI ARMY

BANGKOK, 20 Julai 2022 – Panglima Tentera Darat (PTD), Jeneral Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Zamrose bin Mohd Zain mengadakan kunjungan hormat kepada Commander-in-Chief Royal Thai Army (RTA), General Narongpan Jittkaewtae.

Kunjungan hormat tersebut adalah sempena Lawatan Rasmi Panglima Tentera Darat ke Thailand yang berlangsung selama lima hari bermula daripada 20 hingga 24 Julai 2022. Ia bertujuan mengukuhkan lagi hubungan diplomasi pertahanan diantara Malaysia dan Thailand.

Ketibaan Tan Sri PTD di Royal Thai Army Headquaters (RTA HQ) disambut oleh Commander-in-Chief RTA yang dimulakan dengan pemeriksaan Kawalan Kehormatan Utama.

Seterusnya, ia disusuli dengan acara lawatan ke Royal Thai Army Museum serta diakihiri dengan Kunjungan Hormat Tan Sri PTD kepada Commander-in-Chief RTA di pejabat beliau.

Turut hadir adalah Asisten Ketua Staf Operasi dan Latihan, Mejar Jeneral Malek Razak bin Sulaiman, Asisten Ketua Staf Perisikan, Mejar Jeneral Datuk Hamzah bin Haji Ali, Penasihat Pertahanan Malaysia ke Thailand, Brigedier Jeneral Samsul Rizal bin Musa, Pengarah Sekretariat Tentera Darat, Kolonel Burhan bin Sagoni dan Penolong Penasihat Pertahanan Malaysia ke Thailand, Mejar Syaffiza bin Haji Abdul Razak.

Hubungan diplomatik ketenteraan yang melibatkan kerjasama dua hala ini adalah sejajar dengan Tonggak Keempat Perintah Ulung PTD Ke-28 iaitu ‘Pengukuhan Hubungan Pertahanan’ yang dapat memperkukuhkan kerjasama pertahanan dengan negara-negara sahabat.
