SUBANG, 19 August 2022 – Exercise Pacific Angel 22-2 (PA 22-2) which started on 13 August has drawn its curtain today. The ceremony today was preceded by a courtesy visit from the Air National Guard Assistant to Commander, Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), Major General Mark A. Weber on the Commander of Air Region 1, Maj Gen Dato’ Mahadzer bin Amin TUDM who represented the Commander Air Operations in Air Operations Command Headquarters (MPOU).

After the courtesy visit, the 1st Air Region Commander completed the Closing Ceremony of Exercise Pacific Angel 22-2 held at the Air Warfare Center Auditorium, Subang Air Base.

In his speech, he stated that this joint exercise had achieved all the objectives of each Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE) due to the seriousness shown by all exercise participants. He added that, overall, this exercise was successful in training the military force of all the countries involved with the participation of 370 participants and was able to strengthen cooperation, mutual service and agreement in dealing with regional security issues.

Also present at the closing ceremony were MPOU Chief of Staff, Brig Gen Dato’ Nur Hafis bin Abdul Karim RMDF; MPOU Deputy Chief of Staff, Brig Gen Dato Othman bin Ahmad RMDF; Subang PU Commander, Brig Gen Omar bin Hj Dawami RMDF; Army Attache and Air Attache from the United States Embassy as well as senior officers of the RMAF.

PA 22-2 is a multilateral exercise involving the United States Pacific Air Force (US PACAF), the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), the Indonesian National Army – Air Force (TNI-AU), the Mongolian Air Force (MAF) and the Philippine Air Force (PAF ). The exercise which is a combination of SAREX is implemented with three concepts namely Field Training Exercise (FTX), Table Top Exercise (TTX) and Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) where Malaysia is the host this year.

GABUNGAN LIMA NEGARA DALAM EKSESAIS PACIFIC ANGEL 22-2 MEMPERKUKUHKAN KERJASAMA DAN KESEPAKATAN BAGI MENANGANI ISU KESELAMATAN SERANTAU

SUBANG, 19 Ogos 2022 – Eksesais PacIfic Angel 22-2 (PA 22-2) yang bermula pada 13 Ogos telah melabuhkan tirainya pada hari ini. Majlis pada hari ini didahului dengan Kunjungan Hormat daripada Air National Guard Assistant to Commander, Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), Mejar Jeneral Mark A. Weber ke atas Panglima Wilayah Udara 1, Mej Jen Dato’ Mahadzer bin Amin TUDM yang mewakili Panglima Operasi Udara di Markas Pemerintahan dan Operasi Udara (MPOU).

Selesai kunjungan hormat, Panglima Wilayah Udara 1 telah menyempurnakan Majlis Penutup Eksesais Pacific Angel 22-2 yang diadakan di Auditorium Air Warfare Centre, Pangkalan Udara Subang. Dalam ucapannya, beliau menyatakan latihan bersama ini telah mencapai semua objektif pada setiap Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE) kerana kesungguhan yang ditunjukkan oleh semua peserta eksesais. Tambahan beliau lagi, secara keseluruhannya eksesais ini berjaya melatih ketumbukan ketenteraan semua negara yang terlibat dengan penyertaan seramai 370 peserta serta dapat memperkukuhkan kerjasama, saling khidmat dan kesepakatan di dalam menangani isu keselamatan serantau.

Turut hadir ke majlis penutup ialah Ketua Staf MPOU, Brig Jen Dato’ Nur Hafis bin Abdul Karim TUDM; Timbalan Ketua Staf MPOU, Brig Jen Dato Othman bin Ahmad TUDM; Komander PU Subang, Brig Jen Omar bin Hj Dawami TUDM; Army Attache dan Air Attache dari Kedutaan Amerika Syarikat serta pegawai-pegawai kanan TUDM.

PA 22-2 merupakan eksesais multilateral melibatkan United States Pacific Air Force (US PACAF), Royal Australia Air Force (RAAF), Tentera Nasional Indonesia- Angkatan Udara (TNI-AU), Mongolia Air Force (MAF) dan Philippine Air Force (PAF). Eksesais yang merupakan gabungan SAREX dilaksanakan dengan tiga konsep iaitu Field Training Eksesais (FTX), Table Top Exercise (TTX) dan Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) di mana Malaysia sebagai tuan rumah pada tahun ini.
