KUALA LUMPUR – The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today agreed to attend the farewell session for the Chief of Army, General Tan Sri Zamrose Mohd Zain at Istana Negara.
Through a post on the Istana Negara Facebook, His Majesty as the supreme commander of the Malaysian Armed Forces expressed his deepest appreciation and gratitude for Zamrose’s service and devotion after 43 years of service with the Malaysian Army (TDM) with full dedication and excellence.
Zamrose, who started serving in the Malaysian Armed Forces on 25 April 1980, held various important positions in the TDM including Eastern Field Commander before being appointed as the 28th Army Chief on 11 June 2020.
Zamrose, who was born on 22 September 1962 in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, will hand over his duties as Army Chief to the Deputy Army Chief, Lieutenant General Datuk Seri Mohammad Ab Rahman.
The Handover Ceremony of the 29th Army Chief will see the change of the new TDM command on 22.
