Is there an artillery system produced by MKEK that attracts the interest of the Malaysian Army? being offered to Malaysia.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We (TAI) want to contribute to Malaysia&#8217;s capacity building to produce such aircraft (Hurjet) because Malaysia is seen as one of the best countries to cooperate strategically in Asia Pacific.&#8221; he told the Malaysian media during his first visit two weeks ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the bid by the TAI company is successful, he said, 15 &#8220;Hurjet&#8221; aircraft will be produced in Malaysia while three more in Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Temel Kotil said the production of &#8220;Hurjet&#8221; aircraft in Malaysia was aimed at strengthening the global aviation industry in their respective regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He was in Malaysia to witness the opening of his first TAI-owned engineering and design center in Southeast Asia located in Cyberjaya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for the UAS-MALE tender, the tender was closed last year with TAI believed to offer the &#8220;TAI Anka&#8221; unmanned aircraft system to Malaysia.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The procurement of the two weapon systems will be done in the 12th Malaysian Plan (RMK12).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PM with MKEK CEO Yasin Akdere and Turkish Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Merve Kavakci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Defence had advertised an international tender in August last year to procure three UAS-MALE systems (along with all related systems such as ground stations etc.) and the tender had already closed on 26 November 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, the RMAF has a need for six UAS-MALE which it is likely to be obtained in the 12th Malaysian Plan (2021-2025) and the 13th Malaysian Plan which will be implemented in 2026-2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, a briefing was organized by the RMAF UAS Team, Procurement Division 3 (PERO 3), Ministry of Defence in collaboration with the RMAF and the Defense Industry Division for the International Open Tender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dron \u201cAnka\u201d developed by Turkish Aerospace (TUSAS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The briefing was attended by international companies who expressed interest in UAS-MALE to the Malaysian government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;
