{"id":4712,"date":"2021-12-20T21:51:00","date_gmt":"2021-12-20T13:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mymilitarytimes.com\/?p=4712"},"modified":"2021-12-21T21:54:28","modified_gmt":"2021-12-21T13:54:28","slug":"from-sound-to-image","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mymilitarytimes.com\/index.php\/2021\/12\/20\/from-sound-to-image\/","title":{"rendered":"From Sound to Image"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>LANGKAWI, Dec 20 &#8211; KD PERANTAU carried out an investigation on two shipwrecks  located around the waters of Pulau Langkawi, Kedah while carrying out Hydrographic Instruction 8\/21 from 26 Nov to 21 Dec.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Phocea yacht, which was involved in the fire on 18 Feb 21, was found at 06 \u00b0 14 &#8216;15.29N 099 \u00b0 45&#8217; 35.10E (0.8 nautical miles west of Dayang Bunting Island) during the measurement. The damage from the fire caused the ship to sink completely on 19 Feb 2021 at 5.00 am. The shipwreck was found at a depth of 12 meters and the 3 main sails  can still be seen from the surface of the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, KM Reef Explorer is a Malaysian Ship (KM) registered under Port Klang. The shipwreck was found at 06 \u00b0 13 &#8216;40.27N 099 \u00b0 52&#8217; 52.28E (1.15 nautical miles East of Tuba Island) at a depth of 7.5 meters with the main Mast pole still standing. The vessel is believed to have sunk on 31 March 2021 at 1.57 pm. As informed during the incident, all the ship&#8217;s crew had gone ashore to buy daily necessities and no casualties were reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3314475734161595\" data-ad-slot=\"7610079946\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>KD PERANTAU&#8217;s PLUTO Survey Boat was used as the main platform throughout the measurements carried out using the Norbit iWBMS Multi -Aur Echo Receiver (PGBA) measurement system. Kerosakan daripada kebakaran tersebut menyebabkan kapal ini tidak mampu untuk berapung dan tenggelam sepenuhnya pada 19 Feb 2021 jam 5.00 pagi. Karaman ini ditemui pada kedalaman 12 meter dan 3 layar utama masih dapat dilihat dari atas permukaan air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manakala KM Reef Explorer merupakan sebuah Kapal Malaysia (KM) yang didaftarkan di bawah Pelabuhan Klang. Karaman ini dijumpai di posisi 06\u00b0 13\u2019 40.27U 099\u00b0 52\u2019 52.28T (1.15 batu nautika Timur Pulau Tuba) pada kedalaman 7.5 meter dengan keadaan tiang Mast utama yang masih tegak berdiri. Karaman ini dipercayai tenggelam pada 31 Mac 2021 jam 1.57 petang. Dimaklumkan semasa kejadian, kesemua kru kapal telah turun ke darat untuk membeli barangan keperluan harian dan tiada kemalangan jiwa yang dilaporkan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bot Ukur PLUTO milik KD PERANTAU digunakan sebagai platform utama sepanjang pengukuran dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan sistem ukur Pemerum Gema Berbilang Aur (PGBA) Norbit iWBMS.
