according to the statement, adding that the fighter jets were deployed at 12.40pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Statements by the two agencies were quoted by local media, Channel News Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3314475734161595\" data-ad-slot=\"7610079946\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>Operations at Changi Airport were affected for 40 minutes between 12.50pm and 1.28pm, according to authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of nine landing flights and 11 departing flights were delayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Singapore&#8217;s Ministry of Defence and CAAS gave their reaction to Channel News Asia&#8217;s inquiries after several X accounts (formerly known as Twitter) reported about the incident this afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using online flight tracking service Flightradar24, the X accounts claimed that Singapore fighter jets had been deployed in response to &#8220;Malaysian-registered helicopters&#8221;
