RMAF Air Operations Commander Visits Kuching

KUCHING, 16 Oct 21 – The Commander of Air Operations, Lt Gen Dato’ Hj Mohammad Salleh bin Hj Osman RMAF paid a working visit to Sqn 330, Kota Samarahan and Post Biawak. The arrival of the Commander of Air Operations and the delegation was welcomed by the Commander of Air Region 2, Maj Gen Dato’ Hj Shamsudin Bin Kassim RMAF and Base Commander, Col Mohd Azwan bin Mohd Pohari RMAF.

The working visit of the Air Operations Commander began with a visit to Sqn 232 HANDAU. The Commander of Air Operations was given a security briefing and an explanation of security measures taken while on duty by the Head of Sqn 323 HANDAU, Capt Muhammad Alif Bin Abdullah RMAF and HANDAU members. He was then taken to attend a dialogue session with Sqn 330 staff and to the Control & Reporting Center 2 (CRC 2) to take a closer look at the capabilities of the C2 SENTRY air defence system operated by the Control and Reporting Branch.

The working visit continued to Post Biawak, the Joint Post of the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) and the Indonesian National Army (TNI) in Lundu. The arrival of the Commander of Air Operations was welcomed by the Commander 3 Brigade, Brig Gen Dato’ Azhar bin Hj Ahmad. The purpose of this visit was to review and see the readiness of Malaysian Army personnel in the control of land border operations between Sarawak and Kalimantan under the responsibility of the Army Eastern Field Command.

The Air Operations Commander also took the opportunity to visit former RMAF member, Cpl U Siti Nur Aisyah @ Annerita binti Abdullah who suffers from a chronic illness (spinal cord problem) and handed over a donation cheque to her family. Kuching Air Base has also helped to renovate the house for Cpl U Aisyah in the Base’s Jiwa Murni Program. RMAF is always concerned and cares about its members and RMAF veterans.


KUCHING, 16 Okt 21 – Panglima Operasi Udara, Lt Jen Dato’ Hj Mohammad Salleh bin Hj Osman TUDM telah mengadakan lawatan kerja ke Skn 330, Kota Samarahan dan Pos Biawak. Ketibaan Panglima Operasi Udara dan delegasi telah disambut oleh Panglima Wilayah Udara 2, Mej Jen Dato’ Hj Shamsudin Bin Kassim TUDM dan Komander Pangkalan, Kol Mohd Azwan bin Mohd Pohari TUDM.

Lawatan kerja Panglima Operasi Udara ini dimulakan dengan lawatan ke Skn 232 HANDAU. Panglima Operasi Udara telah diberikan taklimat keselamatan dan penerangan langkah-langkah keselamatan yang diambil semasa bertugas oleh Ketua Skn 323 HANDAU, Kapt Muhammad Alif Bin Abdullah TUDM serta anggota handau. Beliau kemudian telah dibawa menghadiri sesi dialog bersama warga Skn 330 dan ke ‘Control & Reporting Centre 2 (CRC 2) bagi melihat dengan lebih dekat keupayaan sistem pertahanan udara C2 SENTRY yang dikendalikan oleh Cawangan Kawal dan Lapor.

Lawatan kerja diteruskan lagi ke Pos Biawak iaitu Pos Gabungan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) dan Tentera Nasional Indonesia (TNI) di Lundu. Ketibaan Panglima Operasi Udara ini telah disambut oleh Panglima 3 Briged, Brig Jen Dato’ Azhar bin Hj Ahmad. Lawatan ini bertujuan untuk meninjau dan melihat kesiagaan anggota Tentera Darat Malaysia dalam kawalan operasi persempadanan daratan antara Sarawak dan Kalimantan di bawah KTJ formasi Pemerintahan Medan Timur Tentera Darat.

Panglima Operasi Udara juga turut mengambil kesempatan untuk menyantuni bekas anggota TUDM, Kpl U Siti Nur Aisyah @ Annerita binti Abdullah yang mengalami penyakit kronik (masalah saraf tunjang) dan menyerahkan cek sumbangan kepada keluarga beliau. Pangkalan Udara Kuching juga telah membantu membaikpulih rumah bagi Kpl U Aisyah di dalam Program Jiwa Murni Pangkalan. TUDM sentiasa prihatin dan mengambil berat terhadap anggotanya serta veteran TUDM.
