Media Release: Low Flying Aircraft during Exercise PARADISE 9/2022 and ELANGAROO 22

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) will conduct FTX Exercise PARADISE 9/22 (Paradrop, Air Defence, Deep Strike, Insertion, Combat Search & Rescue and Extraction) and Exercise Elangaroo 22 with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) from 7 until 18 November 2022.

These two exercises will involve several air bases in Peninsular Malaysia.

Throughout the exercise, the aircraft will carry out low flights during the day and fly in several areas around the airspace of Peninsular Malaysia, namely Butterworth, Kuantan and the surrounding areas that have been gazetted as the exercise location.

The public are advised not to be alarmed if they see RMAF or RAAF aircraft flying low throughout the exercise period.

This exercise is held by the RMAF to ensure that the capability of the air force’s readiness is at the best level, especially in protecting the sovereignty of the country’s airspace and improving the competence of RMAF members in exercises with the air force.
