RMAF to Soon Receive New Assets

BUTTERWORTH, 3 July 2023 – As a result of the efforts and support of the Ministry of Defence and the Malaysian Government, the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) has confirmed that they will receive the acquisition of new assets in the near future.

Brigadier General Khairol Muzambi bin Salehin of the RMAF in his speech said that the RMAF will receive new fighter aircraft from Korea, the FA-50. We are also about to receive Maritime Patrol Aircraft or MPA and Unmanned Aircraft System or UAS to increase the security and defence capabilities of our airspace.

The RMAF will also receive several new Air Defence Radars and the number of AW139 aircraft, will be increased from 4 to 8, to increase the operational capability of the RMAF in Sabah and Sarawak, said Commander Butterworth Air Base during the Working Visit of the Honorable Minister of Defence, Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan to Butterworth Air Base Camp today.

In the same event, a total of 43 RMAF members received charitable donations from the LTAT Foundation which was completed by YB Minister of Defence.

“The Ministry of Defence is always committed to looking after the welfare of MAF citizens and will never compromise on the issue of the acquisition of national military assets in ensuring that national sovereignty is at the best level at all times in line with the matters outlined in the Defense White Paper”, said YB Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan during a friendly session with RMAF members a while ago.

BUTTERWORTH, 3 Julai 2023 – Hasil usaha dan sokongan pihak Kementerian Pertahanan dan Kerajaan Malaysia, Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) telah mengesahkan bahawa mereka akan menerima perolehan aset baharu dalam masa terdekat.

Brigadier Jeneral Khairol Muzambi bin Salehin TUDM dalam ucapannya berkata, TUDM bakal menerima pesawat pejuang baharu dari Korea iaitu FA-50. Kita juga bakal menerima Maritime Patrol Aircraft atau MPA dan Unmanned Aircraft System atau UAS bagi meningkatkan keupayaan keselamatan dan pertahanan ruang udara kita.

TUDM juga bakal menerima beberapa buah Radar Pertahanan Udara yang baharu dan jumlah pesawat AW139, akan ditambah daripada 4 buah kepada 8 buah, bagi meningkatkan keupayaan operasi TUDM di Sabah dan Sarawak, kata Komander Pangkalan Udara Butterworth semasa Lawatan Kerja Menteri Pertahanan Yang Berhormat, Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan ke Kem Pangkalan Udara Butterworth hari ini.

Dalam majlis yang sama, seramai 43 orang warga TUDM telah menerima sumbangan kebajikan daripada Yayasan LTAT yang disempurnakan oleh YB Menteri Pertahanan.

“Pihak Kementerian Pertahanan sentiasa komited dalam menjaga hal-hal kebajikan warga ATM dan tidak akan sekali-kali berkompromi dalam isu perolehan aset ketenteraan negara dalam memastikan kedaulatan negara berada pada tahap terbaik setiap masa selaras dengan perkara yang digariskan dalam Kertas Putih Pertahanan”, ujar YB Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan semasa sesi ramah mesra bersama warga TUDM sebentar tadi.
