KUALA LUMPUR, 7 November 2023 – The Geospatial Defence Division (BGSP) Open Day was held at Menara Razak, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM KL).

The program was inaugurated by the Director of BGSP, Brigadier General Dato’ Pahlawan Sr. Dr. Mohd Zambri bin Mohamad Rabab, and the Secretary of the Land, Survey, and Geospatial Division of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, NRECC, Datuk Muhammad Yasir bin Yahya. The theme for the BGSP Open Day 2023 is “Cultivating Defence Geospatial at the Armed Forces Level.”

The first session began with a Briefing Session from the Armed Forces of the Future MK ATM, a secretariat established to discuss the restructuring of ATM to meet the characteristics of the Armed Forces of the Future in line with technological advancements and public expectations.

The session continued with a Technology Update from companies such as ESRI Malaysia, GPS Land Sdn Bhd, Enviro Land Services, and sharing the use of the Defence Geospatial Information Management (DGIM) platform in Disaster Management presented by NADMA. The second session included a User Successful sharing session for DGIM usage at the National Security Council and the Malaysian Armed Forces levels.

An exhibition was also held during the program, involving companies like ESRI Malaysia, Map2U, JuruPro, Enviro Land Services, System Consultancy Services (SCS), GPS Land Sdn Bhd, as well as agencies such as the National Geospatial Center (PGN) and the UAV Team of BGSP, JUPEM.

Among the attendees at the event were Senior Assistant Commissioner, Datuk Dr. Lim Joo Soon, Deputy Director E6 Special Branch Bukit Aman, Colonel Muzafar Shah bin Mosam Shah, Director of Transformation at the Joint Force Headquarters, Colonel Ts. Mohd Radzi bin Arifin, Director of the Management Department of Engineering Direction, Colonel Ts. Mohd Afendi bin Abu Bakar, Director of Operations at the Engineering Direction Department, and Colonel Ts. Norhelmi bin Ismail, Director of Logistics at the Engineering Direction Department.

KUALA LUMPUR, 7 November 2023 – Hari Terbuka Bahagian Geospatial Pertahanan (BGSP) telah diadakan bertempat di Menara Razak, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM KL). Program ini telah dirasmikan oleh Pengarah BGSP, Brigedier Jeneral Dato’ Pahlawan Sr. Dr. Mohd Zambri bin Mohamad Rabab dan Setiausaha Bahagian (Tanah, Ukur dan Geospatial) Kementerian Sumber Asli, Alam Sekitar dan Perubahan Iklim, NRECC, Datuk Muhammad Yasir bin Yahya. Tema Hari Terbuka BGSP 2023 pada kali ini ialah Membudayakan Geospatial Pertahanan di Peringkat ATM.

Sesi pertama dimulakan dengan sesi Taklimat Libat Urus daripada Angkatan Masa Hadapan MK ATM satu seketeriat yang ditubuhkan untuk membincangkan pengstrukturan semula ATM bagi menepati ciri-ciri Angkatan Masa Hadapan selaras kemajuan teknologi dan menepati harapan rakyat.

Sesi diteruskan dengan Technology Update daripada Syarikat ESRI Malaysia, GPS Land Sdn Bhd, Enviro Land Services dan perkongsian penggunaan platform Defence Geospatial Information Management (DGIM) dalam Pengurusan Bencana yang telah disampaikan oleh NADMA. Sesi kedua pula diteruskan dengan perkongsian User Successful bagi penggunaan DGIM di peringkat Majlis Keselamatan Negara dan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia.

Pameran turut diadakan sepanjang program ini yang melibatkan syarikat seperti ESRI Malaysia, Map2U, JuruPro, Enviro Land Services, System Consultancy Services (SCS), GPS Land Sdn Bhd serta agensi seperti Pusat Geospatial Negara (PGN) dan Tim UAV BGSP, JUPEM.

Turut hadir ke acara ini adalah Senior Asisten Komisioner, Datuk Dr. Lim Joo Soon, Penolong Pengarah E6 Cawangan Khas Bukit Aman, Kolonel Muzafar Shah bin Mosam Shah, Pengarah Transformasi Markas Angkatan Bersama, Kolonel Ts.
