Fire Power Training 2024

We were honoured to be invited to Fire Power Training 2024, held on 13 August 2024 at Asahan Shooting Range, Syed Sirajuddin Camp, in Gemas, Negeri Sembilan.

A total of 40 units from the Malaysian  Army  participated in the drill, comprising 2,660 officers and personnel, operating 106 assets from the army and air force. These assets included the PT-91M main battle tank, AV8 Gempita, Lipan Bara, Adnan, Super Lynx helicopters, as well as the AS555 Fennec helicopter.

Several representatives of foreign militaries were also present, including Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, New Zealand, Singapore, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

Seeing these weapons in operation was inspiring. The Malaysian soldiers were well-drilled and professional, leaving us impressed that they can defend the country should the need arise. When the PT-91M fired, it was like a clap of thunder followed by a strong backdraft that kicked up the laterite sand.

We would like to express our gratitude to the organizers for taking us along to see the capabilities of TDM up close.
