Kuala Lumpur, July 22, 2019 – Deputy Defence Minister, YB Senator Liew Chin Tong completed the 3rd Officer Dialogue – Defense White Paper Dialogue Series on the topic “People in Defence” at the Wisma Pertahanan Auditorium this morning.

Today’s dialogue was fourth session involving seventeen (17) panel members and four (4) moderators whom were identified from academics, industry players, researchers and ministries.

The Dialogue – Defence White Paper Dialogue Series began and was launched on 22 January 2019 by Minister of Defence, YB Mohamad bin Sabu, with the title Navigating the Risks of the Thucydides Trap. The purpose of this series of dialogues is to ensure that the Defence White Paper under development by the Ministry of Defence gets the input and participation of all parties including the Malaysian community.

Also present were Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence, YBhg. Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki bin Ali, Chief of Defence Forces, YBhg. General Tan Sri Dato ‘Seri Panglima Haji Zulkifli bin Haji Zainal Abidin; Deputy Secretary-General (Policy) Ministry of Defence, YBrs. Mr. Ahmad Nadzri bin Mohd Hassan; Chief Executive Malaysian Defence and Security Institute (MiDAS), VADM Dato’ Ganesh Navaratnam and senior officials and military ministries / agencies and MAF Veterans.
