Officiating Ceremony for Mindanao International Monitoring Team 15 Ops & Training Parade & Ceremony 4th March 20204th March 2020 KUALA LUMPUR, March 4, 2020 – The officiating ceremony of the Mindanao International Monitoring Team 15 (MINT-15) was officiated by YBhg Armed Forces Commander, General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Affendi bin Buang RMAF at the Malaysian Armed Forces Officers Complex. MINT-15 is a continuation of the Philippine Government’s wishes as well as the Malaysian Government’s approval to send a monitoring team for a period of twelve months. Mindanao International Monitoring Team 15 Mission Commander Major-General Dato’ Muhammad Anwar bin Abdulah The MINT-15 is headed by Major-General Dato’ Muhammad Anwar bin Abdulah as Mission Commander to continue the mission and replacing MINT-14 who has been in theatre for 12 months. The MINT-15 consists of 4 officers and 1 personnel from the Malaysian Army, 3 Royal Malaysian Navy officers, 3 Royal Malaysian Air Force officers, 2 Royal Malaysian Police officers and 3 civilian officers from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister’s Department . Malaysia’s involvement in leading the Mindanao International Monitoring Team began on 10 October 2004 following invitation from the Government of Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. To date, 14 teams have been deployed for missions in Mindanao. Its purpose is to monitor the ceasefire and socio-economic development of Mindanao. Also present at the event were senior officers of the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Royal Malaysian Police as well as representatives from the ministries involved. KUALA LUMPUR, 4 Mac 2020 – Majlis Perasmian Tim Pemantau Antarabangsa Mindanao 15 (TPA M-15) telah disempurnakan oleh YBhg Panglima Angkatan Tentera, Jeneral Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Affendi bin Buang TUDM bertempat di Wisma Perwira Angkatan Tentera Malaysia.Penghantaran TPA M-15 adalah kesinambungan dalam memenuhi hasrat Kerajaan Filipina dan juga persetujuan Kerajaan Malaysia untuk menghantar tim pemantau bagi tempoh dua belas bulan. TPA M-15 diketuai oleh Mejar Jeneral Dato’ Muhammad Anwar bin Abdulah selaku Ketua Misi akan meneruskan misi menggantikan TPA M-14 yang telah bertugas selama 12 bulan. TPA M-15 terdiri daripada 4 pegawai dan seorang anggota Tentera Darat Malaysia, 3 pegawai Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia, 3 pegawai Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia, 2 pegawai Polis Diraja Malaysia dan 3 pegawai awam iaitu dari Kementerian Pertahanan, Kementerian Luar Negeri dan Jabatan Perdana Menteri. Mindanao International Monitoring Team 15 Penglibatan Malaysia mengetuai Tim Pemantau Antarabangsa Mindanao bermula pada 10 Oktober 2004 berikutan jemputan daripada Kerajaan Filipina atau Government of Philippines dan Moro Islamic Liberation Front. Sehingga kini sejumlah 14 tim telah diaturgerakkan menjalani misi di Mindanao. Tujuannya adalah untuk memantau gencatan senjata dan pembangunan sosio ekonomi di wilayah Mindanao.
