Kuala Lumpur, 28 Jul 2021- Chief of Air Force (COAF), General Tan Sri Ackbal bin Haji Abdul Samad RMAF held a Video Conference with General IZUTSU Shunji, Chief of Staff, Koku – Jieitai (JASDF) at 2.30 pm Malaysian time at the Office of the COAF, Wisma Pertahanan.
The two Air Force leaders also touched on the Covid-19 situation in both countries and exchanged views on the regional security and peace environment. General Izutsu expressed serious concern over China’s Coast Guard Law and stressed the need for close cooperation with the International Community.
The two Air Force leaders also shared views and exchanged information in enhancing and deepening defence cooperation between the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF).
Discussions led to air cooperation and bilateral activities through proposals in the Air Staff Talks (AST) forum. AST will enable and open space and opportunities for RMAF and JASDF personnel to participate in exchange programs and increase opportunities for bilateral relations between the two air forces.
DUA PEMIMPIN ANGKATAN UDARA BERKONGSI PANDANGAN MENGENAI HUBUNGAN BILATERAL TUDM DAN JASDF
Kuala Lumpur, 28 Jul 2021- Panglima Tentera Udara, Jeneral Tan Sri Ackbal bin Haji Abdul Samad TUDM telah mengadakan Persidangan Video bersama Jeneral IZUTSU Shunji, Ketua Staf, Koku – Jieitai (JASDF) pada jam 2.30 petang waktu Malaysia bertempat di Pejabat Panglima Tentera Udara, Wisma Pertahanan.
Kedua-dua pemimpin Tentera Udara ini turut menyentuh situasi Covid-19 di kedua-dua negara dan bertukar pandangan mengenai persekitaran keselamatan dan keamanan serantau. Jeneral Izutsu menyatakan keprihatinan serius terhadap Undang-Undang Pengawal Pantai China (China’s Coast Guard Law) dan menekankan perlunya kerjasama erat dengan Komuniti Antarabangsa.
Kedua-dua pemimpin Tentera Udara juga berkongsi pandangan dan bertukar maklumat di dalam meningkatkan dan mendalami kerjasama pertahanan di antara Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) dan Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF).
Perbincangan menjurus kepada kerjasama udara dan aktiviti bilateral melalui cadangan dalam forum Air Staff Talks (AST). AST akan membolehkan serta membuka ruang dan peluang kepada warga TUDM dan JASDF untuk mengambil bahagian dalam program pertukaran dan meningkatkan peluang hubungan dua hala di antara kedua angkatan udara.
