RMAF and RMN Strengthens Joint Operational Planning through Exercise ANGSA 13/21

LUMUT, 19 Nov – Exercise ANGSA (Angkasa Samudera) 13/21 closing ceremony was held yesterday at the Air Warfare Center (AWC), Subang Air Base. The exercise was conducted from 3 to 18 Nov 21. The exercise remains the main platform for the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) and the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) in strengthening the procedures, understanding and professionalism of both forces through the context of joint operational planning.

With the objective of strengthening understanding and improving interoperability, this joint exercise involved about 100 Officers and other ranks from the RMN and RMAF and supported by support elements from the Malaysian Army (TDM).

YBhg Deputy Chief of the Navy, Rear Admiral Datuk Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ayob completed the Closing Ceremony of the Exercise, while the symbolic closing ceremony was carried out with the handing over ceremony of Concept of Operation (CONOP) and TOHA (Armband) by Chief of Staff, Captain Mahadzir bin Mokhtar to YBhg Commander of the Western Fleet, Rear Admiral Datuk Abu Bakar bin Md Ajis.

Entering the 13th edition, the organization of the exercise this time has been translated into implementation through the concept approach of Staff Exercise (STAFFEX) by targeting joint operational development planning based on the latest geopolitical scenarios in the region. The strengthening of relevant joint operations concepts and in line with strategic level requirements was refined throughout the exercise aimed at enhancing compatibility in all aspects of defence planning covering airspace and maritime.

Overall the exercise this time managed to meet all the objectives that have been outlined. The RMN will continue to be committed to take advantage of every opportunity to operate with the RMAF in fostering the understanding and close cooperation that is already in place as well as continue to drive the availability of personnel to continue to protect and defend the interests of the country at all times.

LUMUT, 19 Nov – Eksesais ANGSA (Angkasa Samudera) 13/21 telah melabuhkan tirainya semalam yang dilaksanakan di Air Warfare Centre (AWC), Pangkalan Udara Subang mulai 3 hingga 18 Nov 21. Eksesais tersebut kekal menjadi landasan utama buat Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) dan Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) dalam memperkukuhkan prosedur, kesefahaman dan profesionalisme kedua-dua angkatan menerusi konteks perancangan operasi secara bersama.

Dengan objektif memperkasakan kesefahaman dan meningkatkan interoperability, eksesais gabungan ini merangkumi penglibatan seramai kira-kira 100 orang Pegawai dan Anggota Lain-Lain Pangkat (LLP) dari perkhidmatan TLDM dan TUDM serta disokong oleh elemen bantuan dari Tentera Darat Malaysia (TDM).

YBhg Timbalan Panglima Tentera Laut, Laksamana Madya Datuk Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ayob telah menyempurnakan Majlis Penutup Eksesais tersebut, manakala simbolik perasmian penutup dilaksanakan dengan upacara penyerahan Concept of Operation (CONOP) dan TOHA (Armband) oleh Chief of Staff, Kepten Mahadzir bin Mokhtar kepada YBhg Panglima Armada Barat, Laksamana Madya Datuk Abu Bakar bin Md Ajis.

Memasuki edisi ke-13, penganjuran eksesais pada kali ini telah diterjemahkan pelaksanaan menerusi pendekatan konsep secara Staff Exercise (STAFFEX) dengan menyasarkan perancangan pembangunan operasi secara bersama berpandukan senario geopolitik terkini di rantau ini. Pemerkasaan konsep operasi bersama yang relevan dan seiring kehendak peringkat strategik telah diperhalusi sepanjang eksesais bertujuan bagi mempertingkatkan keserasian dalam semua aspek perancangan pertahanan meliputi ruang udara dan maritim.

Secara keseluruhan eksesais pada kali ini berjaya memenuhi kesemua objektif yang telah digariskan. TLDM akan terus komited memanfaatkan setiap peluang beroperasi bersama TUDM dalam menyemarakkan kesefahaman dan kerjasama erat yang sedia utuh terjalin disamping terus memacu ketersediaan warga untuk terus melindungi serta mempertahankan kepentingan negara pada sebilang masa.
