MINDEF Signs MoU and Contacts Worth RM4.6 Million at DSA and NATSEC ASIA 2022

KUALA LUMPUR, 30 March 2022 – Senior Minister of Defense, YB Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin bin Tun Hussein has successfully signed 54 signatures consisting of 20 Letters of Acceptance (LOA), 24 Contracts, 7 Letters of Intent (LOI ) and 3 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) at the Defense Services Asia (DSA) and National Security (NATSEC) Asia 2022 today.

The Chief of Army, General Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Zamrose bin Mohd Zain was also present to witness the historic event.

According to Senior Minister of Defense, the acquisition of new assets for the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) will further strengthen the country’s defense force. The Malaysian Army will receive Armored Personal Carrier (APC) assets for use by MALBATT 850 in Lebanon, 155mm Self-Propelled Howitzers, Logistic Support Bridges for use by the Royal Army Regiment of Engineers (RAJD), 3 -tonne GS Cargo Trucks for mobility and logistics and Light Anti-Tank Weapon (LAW) Anti Structure for Special Forces use.

Despite the country being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Defense (MINDEF) and the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) remain committed to using the budget allocated by the government in ensuring defense and security are always on high alert at all times.

MINDEF TANDATANGANI MOU DAN KONTRAK YANG BERNILAI RM4.6 BILLION DI DSA DAN NATSEC ASIA 2022

KUALA LUMPUR, 30 Mac 2022 – Menteri Kanan Pertahanan, YB Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin bin Tun Hussein telah berjaya menandatangani 54 pemeteraian yang terdiri daripada 20 ‘Letters of Acceptance’ (LOA), 24 ‘Contracts’, 7 ‘Letters of Intent’ (LOI) dan 3 ‘Memoranda of Understanding’ (MoU) yang dihoskan oleh Defense Services Asia (DSA) dan National Security (NATSEC) Asia 2022 pada hari ini.

Panglima Tentera Darat, Jeneral Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Zamrose bin Mohd Zain turut hadir menyaksikan peristiwa bersejarah itu.

Menurut YB Menteri Kanan Pertahanan, perolehan aset-aset baru untuk Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) akan dilakukan untuk terus memperkukuhkan ketumbukan pertahanan negara. Tentera Darat Malaysia (TDM) bakal menerima aset ‘Armoured Personal Carrier’ (APC) untuk digunakan oleh MALBATT 850 di Lubnan, ‘155mm Self-Propelled Howitzers’, ‘Logistic Support Bridges’ untuk kegunaan Rejimen Askar Jurutera Diraja (RAJD), ‘3-tonne GS Cargo Trucks’ untuk mobiliti dan logistik dan ‘Light Anti-Tank Weapon (LAW) Anti Structure’ untuk kegunaan Pasukan Khas.

Meskipun negara dilanda oleh pandemik wabak COVID-19, Kementerian Pertahanan (MINDEF) dan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) terus komited dengan menggunakan bajet yang diperuntukkan oleh kerajaan dalam memastikan pertahanan dan keselamatan sentiasa berada dalam keadaan siap siaga sepanjang masa.
