PENANG: A total of three officers and 119 members of Other Ranks (LLP) of the 18th Battalion, Royal Malay Regiment (Para) (18 RMR (Para)) successfully carried out the Air Assault Operation in the LION STRIKE Exercise Series 1/2022 which took place from 27 June to 2 July, 2022.

The collaboration with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) through WIRA HELO Exercise Series 6/2022 has involved the deployment of 18 RMR (Para) as Air Assault Troops through the air domain using five EC 725 aircraft from No. 10 Squadron RMAF to TEDUNG objective (Butterworth Airbase Key Installation) through fast roping and hoverjump insertion methods.

This exercise is carried out in five phases starting with Staging, Loading, Air Movement, Landing and Ground Tactical.

Previously, members have undergone Pre-Deployment Training (PDT) such as Cross Loading Planning, 𝘐𝘯 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥-𝘜𝘱 𝘈𝘳𝘦𝘢 (OBUA) and Raid, Training Exercise Without Troop (TEWT), Familiarization Training and Emplane Procedure, Deplane with aircraft.

The success of 18 RMR (Para) personnel in achieving the mission in Air Assault Op proves the relevance of the establishment of 10 Bde (Para) as one of the fists based on the continuity of the National Multi-Domain Option in parallel with Army 4nextG.

The implementation of such training is in line with the 28th Commander-in-Chief of the Army, namely the First Pillar, Continuity of Mission and Vigilance and the Second Pillar, Empowering Organizational Integrity.

18 RAMD (PARA) JAYAKAN MISI AIR ASSAULT OPERATION

PULAU PINANG: Seramai tiga pegawai dan 119 anggota Lain-Lain Pangkat (LLP) Batalion Ke-18 Rejimen Askar Melayu Diraja (Para) (18 RAMD (Para)) berjaya melaksanakan Air Assault Operation dalam Eksesais LION STRIKE Siri 1/2022 yang berlangsung mulai 27 Jun hingga 2 Jul 2022.

Kolaborasi yang digarap bersama Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) melalui Eksesais WIRA HELO Siri 6/2022 telah melibatkan aturgerak 18 RAMD (Para) selaku Air Assault Troops melalui domain udara menggunakan lima buah pesawat EC 725 daripada No 10 Skuadron TUDM ke objektif TEDUNG (Instalasi penting PU Butterworth) melalui kaedah insertion secara fast roping dan hoverjump.

Eksesais ini dilaksanakan dalam lima fasa dimulai dengan Staging, Loading, Air Movement, Landing dan Ground Tactical.

Terdahulu, anggota telah menempuh Pre-Deployment Training (PDT) seperti Perancangan Cross Loading, Pelaksanaan 𝘖𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘐𝘯 𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥-𝘜𝘱 𝘈𝘳𝘦𝘢 (OBUA) dan Raid, Training Exercise Without Troop (TEWT), Familiarisation Training dan Prosedur Emplane, Deplane bersama pesawat.

Kejayaan anggota 18 RAMD (Para) mencapai misi dalam Air Assault Op membuktikan relevensi penubuhan 10 Bgd (Para) sebagai salah satu ketumbukan berteraskan kelangsungan National Multi-Domain Option selari dengan Army 4nextG.

Pelaksanaan latihan seumpama ini sejajar dengan Perintah Ulung Panglima Tentera Darat Ke-28 iaitu Tonggak Pertama, Kelangsungan Misi Dan Kesiagaan dan Tonggak Kedua, Memperkasakan Keutuhan Organisasi.
