Singapore, 8 May 2023 – Earlier this afternoon, Chief of Army of the Malaysian Armed Forces, General (GEN) Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman called on Chief of Army, Major-General (MG) David Neo at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF).

As part of his introductory visit, GEN Mohammad also visited the Headquarters 3rd Singapore Division at Jurong Camp, where he had the opportunity to take an experiential ride on the Light Strike Vehicle Mk II and view a static display of Army platforms and equipment.

One of the highlights of the visit was the opening ceremony of Exercise Semangat Bersatu (XSB), an annual bilateral exercise between the Singapore Armed Forces and the Malaysian Armed Forces. GEN Mohammad co-officiated the ceremony alongside MG Neo.

GEN Mohammad’s visit underscores the warm and long-standing bilateral defence relationship between Singapore and Malaysia. These interactions have also enhanced mutual understanding and professional ties between personnel of both armies.
