SEPANG, 28 JUNE 23 – The Chiefof Air Force, General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Mohd Asghar Khan bin Goriman Khan RMAF has paid his last respects to the former Commander Joint Force, Lieutenant General Dato’ Indera Hj Yazid bin Hj Arshad RMAF (Retired) who has passed away last breath this morning at Aurelius Hospital, Nilai. On 27 June 23, the deceased experienced shortness of breath and was rushed to Aurelius Hospital for treatment. The results of the examination revealed that the deceased had a bacterial infection in the lungs and was confirmed dead at 4.10am.

The body of the late Lieutenant General Dato’ Indera Hj Yazid bin Hj Arshad RMAF (Retired) was brought to the Sendayan PU Islamic Center to complete the management of the body for the matter of being bathed and shrouded which was completed at 9.30 am followed by the funeral prayer and the last respect to the deceased. The deceased’s body was then taken to the Islamic Cemetery Kg Salak Tinggi, Sepang for burial. The management of the body and the traditional military burial were assisted by the Sendayan Air Base and the Air Force Base until it was completed at 12.35 pm.

Also present to pay their last respects were the Deputy Chief of Air Force, Lieutenant General Datuk Seri Hj Muhamad Norazlan bin Aris TUDM; Commander Joint Force HQ, Lieutenant General Dato’ Noor Mohamad Akmar bin Mohammad Dom; Commander of Air Operations, Lieutenant General Datuk Mohd Shahada bin Ismail RMAF; Commander of Air Education and Training, Lieutenant General Dato’ Zahani bin Hj Zainal Abidin RMAF; Commander of the Air Support, Major General Masro bin Kaliwon of the RMAF, Senior Officers, RMAF officers and members, former RMAF senior officers.

Apart from that, also present were the Chief of Army, General Tan Sri Datuk Seri Mohammad bin Ab Rahman who also represented the Chief of Defence Force; Deputy Chief of Army, Lieutenant General Datuk Muhammad Hafizuddeain bin Jantan; COS MAF Headquarters, Lieutenant General Datuk Arman Rumaizi bin Hj Ahmad and Senior Officers from the TDM and RMN who were also present during the funeral and paid their last respects to the deceased.

After the funeral, the Chief of Air Force greeted the deceased’s wife, Datin Indera Hjh Nazriah binti Hj Mahmood, expressing his condolences and sorrow to the entire family of the deceased above returning to the Lord, the late Lieutenant General Dato’ Indera Hj Yazid bin Hj Arshad TUDM (Retired).

He also delivered a letter of condolence and handed over the RMAF flag to the deceased’s wife as a mark of respect for all the services and services of the deceased throughout his service in the RMAF in particular and MAF in general. The deceased is the former 13th Commander of Joint Force HQ who has just completed his transition training at PERHEBAT on 21 June 23.
