HM The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, graciously officiated at the Inauguration and Naming Ceremony of the RMN base in Johor Bahru at the headquarters of the Royal Malaysian Navy Reserve Force in Bandar Baru Permas Jaya Masai, Johor, today (27th Sept).

Accompanying His Majesty were His Royal Highness Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Crown Prince of Johor, and His Highness Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, the Tunku Temenggong of Johor.

Also present were Dato’ Seri Mohamad Hasan, Minister of Defence; General Tan Sri Mohammad Ab Rahman, Chief of Defence Forces; Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Ayob, Chief of Navy; and Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Chief Minister of Johor.

His Majesty The Sultan graciously observed the ceremonial display performed by the Special Forces of the Naval Unit “KD Panglima Hitam” before delivering his royal address and signing the inauguration plaque for the naming of the TLDM Base in Johor Bahru.

This 47-acre base houses the headquarters of the Royal Malaysian Navy Reserve Force and KD Sri Medini. The complex also provides a training center equipped with the latest military needs and infrastructure, as well as accommodation for officers, members, and trainees.

DYMM Sultan Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar berkenan menyempurnakan Majlis Perasmian dan Penamaan Pangkalan TLDM Johor Bahru di Markas Pemerintahan Pasukan Simpanan TLDM, Bandar Baru Permas Jaya Masai, Johor pada hari ini (27 Sept).

Mengiringi Baginda, DYAM Mejar Jeneral Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Mahkota Johor dan YAM Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Temenggong Johor.

Baginda Tuanku Sultan turut berkenan menyaksikan gimik perasmian yang dilakukan oleh anggota Pasukan Khas Laut KD Panglima Hitam sebelum menyampaikan titah dan menandatangani plak perasmian dan penamaan Pangkalan TLDM Johor Bahru.

Pangkalan seluas 47 ekar ini menempatkan Markas Pemerintahan Pasukan Simpanan TLDM dan KD Sri Medini. Kompleks ini turut menyediakan pusat latihan yang menempatkan keperluan serta insfrastuktur ketenteraan terkini serta tempat tinggal pegawai dan anggota serta pelatih.
