LPM12Y is a Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) overhaul for the F/A-18D aircraft that has been carried out in the country since 2021. M45-07 is the second aircraft to complete maintenance, which started from 5th Jan 2023 until 15th April 2024. This achievement is a source of great pride and signifies the enhancement of local aerospace engineering expertise. This integrated effort is also in line with the 5th Pillar of the 20th Royal Malaysian Air Force Command, which is Enhancing RMAF Capability Through Collaboration with the Local Defence Industry in developing and enhancing air force capabilities. In the long run, this initiative can save costs for the development of air force assets or maintenance and create continuous new synergies with the local defence industry.
