Regional strategic cooperation involving Malaysia and Singapore has been further reinforced as the Chief of Malaysian Army, General Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Muhammad Hafizuddeain bin Jantan, paid a courtesy call to the Senior Minister of State for Defence of Singapore, His Excellency Zaqy Mohamad, at the Singapore Ministry of Defence today.

This courtesy visit aimed to discuss efforts to further strengthen defence cooperation between the two countries.

The Chief of Malaysian Army was also honoured with an inspection of the Guard of Honour and witnessed several skill demonstrations at Pasir Ris Camp, Singapore such as demonstrations of Close-Quarter Combat and Parachute Drills at the Airborne-Trooper Training Facility.

General Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Muhammad Hafizuddeain bin Jantan was also given an experiential ride on the Light Strike Vehicle Mark II, and participated in an experiential shoot with the HK416 Assault Rifle using the Man Marking Rounds.

Tan Sri also exchanged honorary parachutist wings with Chief of Singapore Army, Major General David Neo.

He also had the opportunity to meet the Chief of Singapore Armed Forces, Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, and the Chief of Singapore Army, Major General David Neo.

This official visit is an excellent medium for further strengthening the relationship between the two countries, Malaysia and Singapore, and for discussing future directions, operations, training, and regional diplomatic relations.

Kerjasama Strategik Serantau melibatkan Malaysia dan Singapura terus diperkukuhkan apabila Panglima Tentera Darat (PTD), Jeneral Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Muhammad Hafizuddeain bin Jantan mengadakan Kunjungan Hormat kepada Menteri Negara Kanan, Kementerian Pertahanan Singapura, TYT Zaqy Mohamad di Kementerian Pertahanan Singapura hari ini.

Kunjungan Hormat ini adalah bagi membincangkan usaha-usaha untuk mengukuhkan lagi kerjasama pertahanan di antara kedua-dua negara.

PTD juga telah diberi kehormatan untuk memeriksa perbarisan Kawalan Kehormatan Utama (KKU) dan seterusnya menyaksikan beberapa demonstrasi kepakaran di Kem Pasir Ris, Singapura.

Beliau turut berkesempatan bertemu Panglima Angkatan Tentera Singapura, Laksamana Madya Aaron Beng dan Panglima Tentera Darat Singapura Mejar Jeneral David Neo.

Lawatan rasmi ini merupakan medium terbaik untuk mengeratkan lagi hubungan kedua-dua negara iaitu Malaysia dan Singapura selain dapat berbincang mengenai hala tuju, operasi, latihan dan hubungan diplomatik serantau.
