Heartfelt Farewell Parade for Army Western Field Commander at 2nd Infantry Division Malaysia Parade & Ceremony 22nd January 202522nd January 2025 Kelantan, January 21, 2024 – Lieutenant General Dato’ Seri Haji Muhammad Huzaimi bin Sabri, Commander of the Malaysian Army’s Western Field Command (PMB TD), was honored with a Farewell Parade organized by the 2nd Infantry Division (2 Div) at the 16th Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment (16 RAMD), Desa Pahlawan Camp. This significant event marked his transition to his new role as the Chief Executive of the Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS). The grand parade comprised 56 officers and 762 personnel, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Firdaus bin Sa’ad from the 21 RAMD. It began with a salute and inspection by PMB TD, followed by a March Past, the spirited Gempur Wira battle cry, and a memorable group photograph with all participants. As part of the event, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Huzaimi and his wife, Datin Seri Hajah Rosilawati Ahmad Tajri, Vice-Chairperson of the Army Welfare Board (BAKAT), extended their support through welfare visits to five families from the division. These visits reflected the Army’s commitment to the well-being of its personnel and their families. The first visit was to Lance Corporal Muhamad Isma Danial Abdullah from 16 RAMD, who is undergoing radiotherapy for lymphoma at Hospital Ismail Petra. Another family supported was that of Mrs. Nor Asmira Mohamad, the wife of Corporal Mohd Khairuddin Omar from the 506th AW Regiment, who is receiving chemotherapy for breast and cervical cancer at HRPZ II. Additionally, they met with young Muhammad Mikail Baharuddin, the son of Staff Sergeant Mohd Baharuddin from the 8 Brigade HQ, who is receiving treatment for Global Developmental Delay (GDD) at HRPZ II. Nur Rayna Haura Rusdan, the daughter of Corporal Rusdan Dania from 21 RAMD, is being treated for Bilateral Congenital Talipes Equinus Varus (CTEV) at the Orthopedic Specialist Clinic at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia in Kubang Kerian. Finally, the couple visited Uwais Al Qarni Muhammad Ikhwan, the son of Bombardier Muhamad Ikhwan Azim from 5 RAD, who is undergoing treatment for kidney abnormalities, cleft palate, and conditions related to premature birth at HRPZ II. Following the welfare visits, the appreciation ceremony continued with a luncheon, farewell speeches, and the presentation of a commemorative gift by Major General Dato’ Hj Fazal Abdul Rahman, Commander of the 2nd Division. The event concluded with a street lining and a formal signing of the guest book by PMB TD, marking the end of his tenure. The event was attended by several notable leaders, including Major General Dato’ Hj Fazal Abdul Rahman and his wife, Datin Hj Habibah Mazlan. Other attendees included Brigadier General Mohd Fouzi Sulaiman, Commander of the 6th Brigade, with his wife, Puan Zulaina Yunus; Brigadier General Dato’ Muzamil Hj Ali, Commander of the 8th Brigade, accompanied by his wife, Datin Noor Azizah Ab Aziz; and Brigadier General Datuk Mohd Zaini Hj Hashim, Commander of the 30th Brigade, with his wife, Datin Zuraidah Hj Ismail. The ceremony showcased the Army’s deep appreciation for Lt. Gen. Muhammad Huzaimi’s distinguished service and unwavering dedication to leadership and welfare within the Armed Forces.
