Military Flight Training Conference 2021 (MFTC21)

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) has accepted an invitation from Defense IQ based in London, United Kingdom (UK) as the organizer to participate and deliver a lecture at the Military Flight Training Conference 2021 (MFTC21) in London, United Kingdom. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, MFTC21 themed “Equipping Airmen & Airwomen of The Future” was held online from 29 June to 1 July 2021.

The objective of MFTC21 is as a platform to discuss and obtain information covering things that can improve as well as propel the field of military aviation training today. These include modern types of training aircraft, state-of-the-art flight training technology capabilities as well as basic to advanced training.

In this MFTC21, Deputy ACOS Planning and Development, Brig Gen Norli Hisham bin Alwi RMAF was given the honor to deliver a lecture entitled “Future Procurement: FLIT-LCA Program”. The RMAF participated in lectures and discussion panels at various levels with personnel from the RMAF HQ, Air Operations HQ, HQ Air Training and Education and training centers.

There were 21 lectures delivered for 30 minutes each including question and answer sessions as well as 8 panel discussions. The presenters consisted of military officers from various countries such as the United States, Australia, Bangladesh, Italy, Japan, Canada, Lithuania, Pakistan, Sweden and the UK as well as the defense industry sector such as Aeralis, Ascent Flight Training Ltd, Draken Helicopter Academy, Leonardo Company, Lockheed Martin Ocean Software and Turkish Aerospace.

MFTC is a well-known program among the military aviation community around the world and serves as a forum to discuss aspects of current and future military aviation training. The RMAF was also involved in line with the objectives of the conference as well as the establishment of diplomatic relations with the air forces of foreign countries.

Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) telah menerima jemputan daripada Defence IQ yang berpangkalan di London, United Kingdom (UK) selaku penganjur untuk menyertai serta menyampaikan syarahan dalam Military Flight Training Conference 2021 (MFTC21) di London, United Kingdom. Walau bagaimanapun, disebabkan pandemik Covid-19, MFTC21 yang bertemakan “Equipping Airmen & Airwomen of The Future” telah diadakan secara atas talian (online) mulai 29 Jun hingga 1 Jul 21.

Objektif MFTC21 adalah sebagai platform untuk membincangkan dan mendapatkan maklumat merangkumi perkara-perkara yang boleh menambah baik serta melancarkan bidang latihan penerbangan tentera masa kini. Ini termasuk jenis pesawat latihan moden, keupayaan teknologi latihan penerbangan terkini serta latihan asas hingga ke lanjutan.
Dalam MFTC21 ini, Timbalan AKS Perancangan dan Pembangunan, Brig Jen Norli Hisham bin Alwi TUDM telah diberikan penghormatan menyampaikan syarahan bertajuk “Future Procurement: FLIT-LCA Programme”. Penglibatan TUDM sebagai peserta yang mengikuti syarahan dan panel perbincangan terdiri daripada pelbagai peringkat anggota yang berkhidmat di MTU, MPOU, MPPLU serta pusat latihan.

Terdapat 21 syarahan yang disampaikan selama 30 minit setiap satu termasuk sesi soal jawab serta 8 panel perbincangan. Penyampai terdiri daripada pegawai tentera dari pelbagai negara antaranya seperti Amerika Syarikat, Australia, Bangladesh, Itali, Jepun, Kanada, Lithuania, Pakistan, Sweden dan UK serta sektor industri pertahanan seperti Aeralis, Ascent Flight Training Ltd, Draken Helicopter Academy, Leonardo Company, Lockheed Martin Ocean Software dan Turkish Aerospace.

MFTC adalah program yang terkenal di kalangan komuniti penerbangan tentera di seluruh dunia dan berperanan sebagai forum untuk membincangkan aspek latihan penerbangan ketenteraan semasa dan akan datang. TUDM turut terlibat sejajar dengan objektif persidangan selain jalinan kerjasama hubungan diplomatik bersama tentera udara negara-negara luar.
