Philippine Navy and Royal Malaysian Navy Maritime Training Activity MALPHI-LAUT 22/19 Opens

An opening ceremony was conducted to formally open the five (5) days Maritime Training Activity codenamed MALPHI-LAUT 22/19 between the Philippine Navy and Royal Malaysian Navy. The Philippine Navy thru Naval Forces Central will host this years’ maritime training activity which will be conducted within its area of responsibility from 05-09 August 2019.

MTA MALPHI-LAUT is a combined bilateral training in naval operations in order to strengthen the relationship and enhance mutual cooperation of both the PN and RMN through development of combined operational doctrines, practices and naval tactics. The MTA is conducted by the two navies through the conduct of theorical maritime training activity during the preceding year and actual application during the continuing year.

Present during the opening ceremony was LTGEN NOEL S CLEMENT AFP, Commander, Central Command as the guest of honor and speaker with COMMO DORVIN JOSE S LEGASPI AFP, the Officer Conducting the Exercise (OCE) who is also the Commander, Naval Forces Central and VADM DATUK ABDUL RAHMAN BIN AYOB RMN, Eastern Fleet Commander, Royal Malaysian Navy.
