Exercise PARADISE 6/2019 Inauguration Ceremony

BUTTERWORTH, 29 Oct – The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) is conducting Air Drop Defense, Insertion, Strike, Search & Rescue and Extraction exercise (EX PARADISE) 6/2019. The sixth edition of this exercise began on October 27 and is scheduled to end on 8 November 2019.

Chief of Staff, RMAF Air Operations Command, MG Dato’ Norazlan bin Aris RMAF announced the opening of Ex PARADISE 6/19 at No. 18 Squadron Auditorium, Butterworth Air Base today.

The inauguration ceremony was also held through video conferencing at the various participating bases; namely Gong Kedak Air Base, Kuantan Air Base, Subang Air Base and 320 CRC.

Also present at the opening ceremony was Air Force Region 1 Chief of Staff Operations, BG Dato’ Zulkifli bin Hamid RMAF, who is also the Exercise Director and Butterworth Air Base Commander BG Roarany bin Ahmad Rapiee @ Ahmad Rofie RMAF.

The exercise has set the following objectives:

  1. Increase the level of interdependence in conducting Large Force Employment (LFE) operations involving a large force that also involves the Army and Navy.
  2. Evaluate the readiness, skills and competencies of RMAF officers and staff in conducting air operations.
  3. Evaluate the effectiveness of the equipment, systems and weapons of the RMAF.
  4. Develop RMAF/NAOI/Doctrinal Op/MAFJD and SOP Contingency Plan.

MAJLIS PERASMIAN EKSESAIS PARADISE SIRI 6/2019

BUTTERWORTH, 29 Okt 19 – Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) sedang melaksanakan Eksesais Para Drop Air Defence, Insertion, Strike, Search & Rescue and Extraction (Eks PARADISE) siri 6/2019. Eksesais edisi keenam kali ini telah bermula pada 27 Oktober dan dijadualkan akan berakhir pada 8 November 2019.

Ketua Staf Markas Pemerintahan Operasi Udara, Mej Jen Dato’ Norazlan bin Aris TUDM telah merasmikan pembukaan Eks PARADISE siri 6/19 bertempat di Auditorium No 18 Skuadron, Pangkalan Udara Butterworth hari ini.

Majlis perasmian tersebut turut dilaksanakan menerusi sidang video di pangkalan-pangkalan terlibat iaitu Pangkalan Udara Gong Kedak, Pangkalan Udara Kuantan, Pangkalan Udara Subang dan 320 CRC.

Turut hadir dalam majlis pembukaan tersebut adalah Ketua Staf Operasi Markas Pemerintahan Wilayah Udara 1, Brig Jen Dato’ Zulkifli bin Hamid TUDM selaku Pengarah Eksesais dan Komander Pangkalan Udara Butterworth, Brig Jen Rozainy bin Ahmad Rapiee @ Ahmad Rofie TUDM.

Pelaksanaan eksesais kali ini telah menetapkan objektif-objektif seperti berikut:

  1. Meningkatkan tahap saling kendali dalam menjalankan operasi Large Force Employment (LFE) membabitkan angkatan besar yang turut melibatkan TDM dan TLDM.
  2. Menilai kesediaan, kemahiran dan kompentensi pegawai dan anggota LLP TUDM melaksanakan operasi udara.
  3. Menilai tahap keberkesanan peralatan, sistem dan persenjataan TUDM.
  4. Membangunkan Plan Kontigensi TUDM/NAOI/Doktrin Op/MAFJD dan SOP.
