Malaysian Command and Staff Diploma Course Graduation Ceremony

Kuala Lumpur, 4 December 2019 – Defence Minister YB Mohamad bin Sabu presented the Malaysian Command and Staff Diploma Course Series 48/2019 at the Ministry of Defense Auditorium today.

At the graduation ceremony, 165 students comprising 99 Army students, 33 RMAF and RMN graduates completed the three-semester course that took almost a year of study. These graduates will receive a Certificate of Psc (Passed Staff College) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic and Defence Studies.

Major Kamarul Bahrin bin Razali RRR was nominated for the Malaysian Armed Forces Staff College (MAFSC) Award (Best overall Participant of Series MCSDC 48/2019), followed by three other recipients, UPNM Award (Academic Module), Lt Cdr Melvinderjit Singh Walia RMN, Commandant Award (Commandant Paper), Major Abang Raduan bin Abi Madihi RMAF and Haigate Award (Military Module) Major Mohammad Firdaus bin Saad RMR.

MCSDC is a course offered to officers with the rank of Lieutenant / Lieutenant Commander who are specially selected to take on positions in the Joint Service. It aims to train officers to analyze key issues related to strategy and defence at the national, regional and global levels, to interpret factors and concepts in military development structure, to perform the duties of a Command and Staff Officer in at the defence and operational levels and solve all problems in various situations.

Also present were Air Force Chief General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hj Affendi bin Buang (RMAF), UPNM Vice-Chancellor, Lieutenant-General Dato Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Jalal, MAFSC Commandant, Brigadier-General Dato Mohd Sofi bin Md Lepi, Senior MAF officers as well as family members of the course participants.

Kuala Lumpur, 4 Disember 2019 – Menteri Pertahanan, YB Mohamad bin Sabu telah menyempurnakan Majlis Penyampaian Diploma Kursus Pemerintahan Dan Staf Malaysia (KPSM) Siri 48/2019 di Auditorium Wisma Pertahanan, Kementerian Pertahanan pada hari ini.

Pada majlis graduasi ini, seramai 165 penuntut terdiri daripada 99 orang TDM, 33 orang daripada TLDM dan TUDM telah berjaya menamatkan kursus selama tiga semester yang mengambil masa hampir setahun pengajian. Para graduan ini akan menerima Sijil psc (Passed Staff College) dan Diploma Pascasiswazah Kajian Strategik dan Pertahanan.

Mejar Kamarul Bahrin bin Razali RRD telah dinobatkan sebagai penerima Anugerah Lembaga MTAT (Peserta Terbaik Keseluruhan KPSM Siri 48/2019) diikuti dengan tiga lagi penerima anugerah iaitu Anugerah UPNM (Modul Akademik), Lt Kdr Melvinderjit Singh Walia TLDM, Anugerah Komandan (Kertas Komandan), Mejar Abang Raduan bin Abang Madihi TUDM dan Anugerah Haigate (Modul Ketenteraan) Mejar Mohammad Firdaus bin Saad RAMD.

Untuk pengetahuan, KPSM merupakan kursus yang ditawarkan kepada pegawai-pegawai yang berpangkat Mejar/Leftenan Komander setaraf yang terpilih untuk menjawat jawatan Pemerintah dan Staf di dalam Perkhidmatan bersama. Ia bertujuan untuk melatih pegawai untuk menganalisa isu-isu penting berkaitan strategi dan pertahanan di peringkat nasional, serantau dan global, mentafsir faktor-faktor dan konsep dalam struktur pembangunan ketenteraan, melaksanakan tugas sebagai Pegawai Staf dan Pemerintah dalam kebersamaan di peringkat operasi dan strategik Pertahanan serta menyelesaikan segala permasalahan dalam pelbagai situasi.

Turut hadir, Panglima Tentera Udara, Jeneral Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hj Affendi bin buang (TUDM), Naib Canselor UPNM, Leftenan Jeneral Dato Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Jalal, Komandan MTAT, Brigadier Jeneral Dato Mohd Sofi bin Md Lepi, Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan ATM serta ahli keluarga penuntut kursus.
