Malaysian Armed Forces Commandos Occupied the Spratly Islands

The sacrifice of the Malaysian Commando in capturing Pulau Layang-Layang

The issue of the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea continues to be a major conflict in the Southeast Asian region. This is because apart from Asean countries such as the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia and Vietnam, the Chinese also claims all or part of the territory in the Spratly Islands, which is believed to have mineral and oil resources.

For Malaysia, only Pulau Layang-Layang is a symbol of our country’s sovereignty in the middle of the vast ocean of the South China Sea until now.

In the early 80’s, there was no Pulau Layang-layang. All there was was a coral reef. But as a result of the wisdom of the then Prime Minister, the eminent statesman Tun Dr Mahathir, he ordered our commando team to capture the reef and turn it into an island.

Tun’s quick move to order our troops to control the island proves that the country’s sovereignty is always protected by the government.

Tun Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad: Capture Station Lima by any means.

Tun Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad: Capture Station Lima by any means.

In the early 80s, where there was Pulau Layang-Layang, there was only a reef.

Former Prime Minister Tun Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad ordered the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) to take control of the area.

So the MAF sent personnel from the Special Operations Regiment (RGK) to occupy a reef that was only the size of a monkey’s crotch, at that time the Naval Special Forces (Paskal) did not participate.

Thank goodness, our brave commandos conquered the Layang-Layang Reef with whatever strength they had.

The first step was to send a commando, at that time Station Lima had not been built, when the sea water rose, our commandos struggled to climb trees and slept all night with a thousand difficulties in the face of strong winds and heavy rains.

In the process, temporary settlements built from boards and timber were built by a combination of army, navy and all deliveries were made by Nuri helicopters belonging to the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).

The trust of the country they carry honestly, when others sleep comfortably, they worked hard to establish the sovereignty of the country in a land that is foreign to what they have known before.

In the Mainland of the Peninsula, modules for Lima station are being built.

It is a project full of secrecy because these modules are made in the Peninsula and not in the nearest area either in Sabah or Sarawak.

These modules are then placed on a kind of barge and “camoflaged” with wood and plywood.

They had no choice but to sail through international waters near Singapore and Indonesia.

The RMN warships accompanied the voyage of these barges which took at least 4 weeks to reach.

But apparently there were eyes watching the voyage of this barges, and they consisted of Singapore and Indonesian special forces units.

The first time the Singapore commando tried to approach the barge, without hesitation, the escorting RMN ship gave the order for them to leave the barge, the weapons ready to be fitted with ammunition were directed, the Singapore commando retreated.

The second time, the Indonesian commando went up, and managed to go up, without hesitation the machine guns were fired, after which the Indonesian commando jumped into the sea, killed or injured is not known.

As human beings, the countries involved certainly want what these barges carry because their voyage is accompanied by warships. 17.

Finally, Station LIMA stood majestically

INCIDENTS AT STATION LIMA

Since the border of Layang-Layang is a hot spot, it is not spared from small arms actions. At one point, our army managed to take control of several islands, they mistakenly placed a monument, tomorrow came back, the monument was blown up and replaced with a team of Vietnamese soldiers complete with cannons.

Finally, the top leadership of the country decided to control the existing areas only.

Some of our military units also came across foreign items such as Chinese-made flashlights on Station Lima area, proving that the fort was invaded by Chinese commandos but there was no fighting with China.

Chinese submarines themselves used to be anchored so close to Station Lima but no tension existed, their presence was considered harmless but safety measures were still taken.

Komando Angkatan Tentera Malaysia menduduki kepulauan Spratly.

Pengorbanan Komando Malaysia menawan Pulau Layang–Layang

Pulau Layang–Layang
Pulau Layang–Layang

Langkah pantas Tun mengarahkan tentera kita menguasai pulau berkenaan membuktikan kedaulatan negara sentiasa dilindungi kerajaan .

17.Akhirnya stesyen LIMA terpacak megah.
