BERA, 28 August 2021 – The Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob accompanied by the Chief of Army (COA), General Tan Sri Datuk Zamrose bin Mohd Zain paid a visit to the Exercise Para Predator Series 1/2021 in Bera, Pahang today.

The purpose of Ex Para Predator Series 1/2021 is to increase the level of readiness and competency of every Leading Para Battle Group (LPBG) from 10 Brigade (Para).

10 Bde (Para) based at Terendak Camp, Melaka is an elite force of the Malaysian Army (TDM) with a high level of readiness and is also known as the Quick Reaction Force (QRF).

The Ex Para Predator Series 1/2021 is also designed to assess the level of leadership of each level of command, the level of competence or ability of each combat team in this brigade, as well as test the physical and mental resilience of members of this brigade to face the pressure of high realism as the real situation in war and crisis.

This exercise is focused on 3 main objectives, namely; ‘To Train’ (the Troop), to provide exposure to threat situations through training, ‘To Project’ (the Army), to provide an overview of the readiness and real capabilities of the TDM, ‘To Educate’ (To Create Public Awareness), to educate and share knowledge and apply public awareness on the role of TDM in national security .

In this exercise, the 10 Bde (Para) offensive phase is supported by various types of TDM combat assets such as Combat Vehicles from the Royal Armor Corps (KAD) and also Combat Bridges from the Royal Engineer Regiment (RAJD). The personnel involved in this exercise is about 2,000 people consisting of various elements from combat, combat support and service support, Mechanical Infantry Battalion (Mek), Army Air Unit (PUTD) and Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). The assets involved include LOH, EC 725, ADNAN, GEMPITA, Pontoon, and other TDM assets.

Thus, this military training is the most important requirement and becomes the Core Business of TDM, while in a state of peace to maintain a high level of readiness at all times.

Such military exercises will continue to be carried out in the future to enhance the level of alertness and competence of TDM combat formations, especially the 10 Bde (Para).

The conduct of this exercise is also in line with the First Pillar of the Supreme Command outlined by Tan Sri PTD, namely, “Continuity of Mission and Vigilance”, which focuses on increasing the level of alertness of TDM to be deployed from time to time.

This exercise was also conducted in conjunction with the 64th Independence Celebration this year where TDM will continue to be committed and give a high commitment in efforts to defend the sovereignty of our beloved country.

Also present during the exercise visit were the Chief of Defence Force (CDF), General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Affendi bin Buang RMAF and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence Dato’ Sri Muez bin Abd Aziz.

PM DAN PTD TINJAU TAHAP KESIAGAAN DAN KOMPETENSI FORMASI TEMPUR TDM

BERA, 28 Ogos 2021 – Perdana Menteri Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob diiringi Panglima Tentera Darat (PTD), Jeneral Tan Sri Datuk Zamrose bin Mohd Zain telah mengadakan lawatan ke Eksesais Para Predator Siri 1/2021 di kawasan Bera, Pahang pada hari ini.

Tujuan Eksesais Para Predator Siri 1/2021 ini adalah untuk mempertingkatkan tahap kesiagaan dan kompetensi setiap Leading Para Battle Group (LPBG) dari 10 Briged (Para).

10 Bgd (Para) yang berpengkalan di Kem Terendak, Melaka merupakan sebuah ketumbukan elit Tentera Darat Malaysia (TDM) yang mempunyai tahap kesiagaan yang tinggi yang turut dikenali sebagai Pasukan Aturgerak Cepat (PAC).

Eksesais Para Predator Siri 1/2021 ini turut dirangka bagi menilai tahap kepimpinan setiap lapisan pemerintahan, tahap kompetensi atau keupayaan setiap pasukan tempur di dalam briged ini, serta menguji ketahanan fizikal dan mental anggota briged ini untuk berhadapan dengan tekanan realisme yang tinggi sebagaimana situasi sebenar ketika perang dan krisis.

Pendekatan eksesais ini terarah kepada 3 objektif utama iaitu ‘To Train’ (the Troop), bagi memberikan pendedahan keadaan ancaman
sebenar melalui latihan, ‘To Project’ (the Army), bagi memberikan gambaran kesiagaan dan keupayaan sebenar aturgerak TDM, ‘To Educate’ (To Create Public Awareness), bagi mendidik mahupun berkongsi pengetahuan serta menerapkan kesedaran umum mengenai peranan TDM dalam aspek keselamatan negara.

Dalam eksesais ini, fasa ofensif 10 Bgd (Para) yang disokong oleh pelbagai jenis aset tempur TDM seperti Kenderaan Tempur dari Kor Armor Diraja (KAD) dan juga Jambatan Tempur dari Rejimen Askar Jurutera Diraja (RAJD). Keanggotaan yang terlibat dalam eksesais ini adalah kira-kira 2,000 orang yang terdiri daripada pelbagai elemen dari tempur, bantuan tempur dan bantuan khidmat, Batalion Infantri Mekanis (Mek), Pasukan Udara Tentera Darat (PUTD), Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM). Aset-aset yang dimaksudkan adalah LOH, EC 725, ADNAN, GEMPITA, Pontoon, dan lain-lain aset TDM.

Justeru, latihan ketenteraan ini merupakan keperluan paling penting dan menjadi Teras Utama (Core Business) kepada TDM, semasa berada di dalam keadaan aman untuk mengekalkan tahap kesiagaan yang tinggi pada sebilang masa.

Eksesais ketenteraan sebegini akan terus dilaksanakan di masa hadapan, bagi mempertingkatkan tahap kesiagaan dan kompetensi formasi tempur TDM, khususnya seperti ketumbukan 10 Bgd (Para).

Pelaksanaan eksesais ini juga adalah sejajar dengan Tonggak Pertama Perintah Ulung yang gariskan oleh Tan Sri PTD iaitu, “Kelangsungan Misi Dan Kesiagaan”, yang memberikan penumpuan kepada peningkatan tahap kesiagaan TDM bagi diaturgerakkan sebilang masa.

Eksesais ini turut dilaksanakan seiring dengan Sambutan Kemerdekaan Ke-64 pada tahun ini dimana TDM akan terus komited dan memberikan komitmen yang tinggi dalam usaha mempertahankan kedaulatan negara tercinta kita.

Turut hadir dalam lawatan eksesais ini adalah Panglima Angkatan Tentera (PAT), Jeneral Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Haji Affendi bin Buang TUDM dan Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Pertahanan, Dato’ Sri Muez bin Abd Aziz.
