Dalam kenyataan yang sama, TUDM turut mengesahkan identiti 2 juruterbang pesawat malang itu. “Mejar Mohd Fareez Omar TUDM cedera dan kini sedang diberikan rawatan di Hospital Seberang Jaya, “Kapten Mohamad Affendi Bustamy TUDM disahkan terkorban dan jenazah sedang diuruskan untuk tindakan selanjutnya,” kata kenyataan itu. Menurutnya lagi, Fareez sedang dalam keadaan stabil. “Kedua-dua juruterbang telah berkahwin. Ahli keluarga mereka telah dimaklumkan berhubung kejadian tersebut,” ujarnya.
