Intelligence Fusion Centre (IFC) to Improve Army Intelligence Capability

KUALA LUMPUR, 14 March 2022 – The operation of the Intelligence Fusion Center (IFC) can enhance the intelligence and strategic capabilities of the Malaysian Army (TDM).

The opening ceremony was officiated by the Chief Army, General Tan Sri Zamrose Mohd Zain at Wisma Pertahanan, yesterday.

TDM in a post on its social media said, the development of IFC TD is guided by the strategic capabilities of TD Army 4NextG (2021-2050) and is one of the 5 goals of TDM’s capabilities, namely detection.

“TDM will be equipped with its capabilities in ‘Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance and Targeting’ (ISRT) and ‘Information Operation’ (IO),” based on the existing capabilities, all forms of threats from the enemy can be detected as early as possible and the distribution of accurate information in ‘real time’ can be implemented more efficiently to help TDM make decisions in the right time,” he said.

According to him, the ability to track and channel information continuously will give an advantage to TDM in ‘Information Dominance’, ‘Battlespace Awareness’, ‘Decision Advantage’ and ‘Decision Superiority’.

He added that improvements will continue to be implemented in line with current technological developments as well as current environmental threats.

Also present was the Assistant Chief of Staff (AKS) of Intelligence, Major General Datuk Hamzah Ali.
