Malaysia and Singapore Strengths Military Relationship through the Regimental Sergeant Major Exchange Programme

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 March 2022 – The Regiment Sergeant Major (RSM) Exchange Program 2022 strengthens cooperative, bilateral military relations as well as enhances defense diplomacy between Malaysia and Singapore.

The Malaysian Army (TDM) in a post on its social media said, the RSM Exchange Program is one of the bilateral programs held annually between TDM and the Singapore Army (SA).

“This program symbolizes the ongoing close cooperation at the highest level of Non-Commissioned Officers between the Armed Forces of the two countries,”

Among the objectives of this program is to enhance military cooperation and bilateral relations as well as enhance defense diplomacy between Malaysia and Singapore.

Earlier, Army Regiment Sergeant Major (SMR TD), Warrant Officer I Mohd Pauzi Mohd Ali received a courtesy call from Singapore Army Regiment Sergeant Major, Senior Warrant Officer Yeo Keng Hua at the SMR TD Office, Wisma Pertahanan today.

According to TDM, participants of the RSM Exchange Program 2022 were exposed to the unique cultural, regimental as well as different environments between TDM and SA.

“The program which involves RSM from various units from the two Armed Forces is also a platform for participants to share and exchange their knowledge and experience,” he said.
