SINGAPORE: The Commander of the Third Malaysian Infantry Division (3 Div), Maj Gen Dato’ Tengku Muhammad Fauzi Tengku Ibrahim accompanied by the Commander 3rd Singapore Division (3 CAD), BG Goh Pei Ming and the delegation spent time visiting Bukit Chandu during a working visit to Singapore on 30 and 31 July 2022.
This visit on 31 July 22 was also in conjunction with the celebration of Warriors’ Day 2022 aimed at commemorating the sacrifices of the officers and members of the First Royal Malay Regiment (1 RMR) in the battle at Pasir Panjang on 14 February 1942.
On this occasion as well, the Commander of 3 Div as the former Commanding Officer of 1 RMR also shared with the 3 CAD officers about the history of RMR and the significance of the historic event at Bukit Candu in the relationship of military cooperation between both fighting forces.
A brief tahlil and prayer session was also held before ending with the exchange of mementos and souvenirs between the two commanders.
This program is part of the Professional Interaction Program (PIP) in line with the Fourth Pillar of the 28th Army Commander which is Strengthening Defense Relations.

LAWATAN PANGLIMA 3 DIV KE BUKIT CHANDU SEMPENA HARI PAHLAWAN 2022
SINGAPURA: Panglima Divisyen Ketiga Infantri Malaysia (3 Div), Mej Jen Dato’ Tengku Muhammad Fauzi Tengku Ibrahim diiringi Commander 3rd Singapore Division (3 CAD), BG Goh Pei Ming dan delegasi telah meluangkan masa melawat Bukit Chandu ketika lawatan kerja ke Singapura pada 30 dan 31 Jul 2022.
Lawatan pada 31 Jul 22 ini juga adalah bersempena dengan sambutan Hari Pahlawan 2022 bertujuan memperingati jasa pengorbanan pegawai dan anggota Rejimen Pertama Askar Melayu Diraja (1 RAMD) dalam pertempuran di Pasir Panjang pada 14 Feb 1942.
Di kesempatan ini juga, Panglima 3 Div selaku mantan Pegawai Memerintah 1 RAMD turut berkongsi dengan pegawai-pegawai 3 CAD mengenai sejarah RAMD dan signifikan peristiwa bersejarah di Bukit Candu tersebut dalam hubungan kerjasama ketenteraan di antara kedua-dua ketumbukan.
Sesi tahlil ringkas dan doa juga diadakan sebelum diakhiri dengan pertukaran memento dan cendera kenangan di antara kedua-dua pemerintah.
Program ini merupakan sebahagian daripada Professional Interaction Programme (PIP) selaras dengan Tonggak Keempat Panglima Tentera Darat Ke-28 iaitu Pengukuhan Perhubungan Pertahanan.
