First Navy to Navy Talks (N2NT) Strengthen Maritime Cooperation Between Indonesian and Malaysian Navies

The 1st Navy to Navy Talks (N2NT) between the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) and Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) was held at Batam, Indonesia from 18 to 21 November 2023. The Talks were Co-Chaired by Rear Admiral Dato’ Ee (Yee) Tai Peng, Assistant Chief of Staff Operation and Strategy and Rear Admiral Achmad Wibisono, Commander of the First Fleet Command.

The TNI-AL Co-Chair welcomed the RMN delegation to Indonesia and was delighted that N2NT has served as the primary platform for a two-way discussion at the strategic level between the RMN and TNI-AL. The RMN Co-Chair conveyed his appreciation to TNI-AL for warmth hospitality being given to RMN and was delighted to co-chair the very first N2NT.

Both co-chairs expressed their satisfaction with the meeting outcomes and emphasized the importance of strengthening engagements at all levels, working closely to strengthen cooperation, and continuing to nurture this strong friendship in key areas such as operations, exercise, training, and bilateral interaction.
