Royal Malaysian Navy Chief Visits Singapore for Bilateral Exercises and Strategic Engagement Defence Relations Ops & Training 15th November 202415th November 2024 SINGAPORE, 14 Nov – Admiral Datuk Zulhelmy bin Ithnain, the Chief of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN), continued his official visit to Singapore with a tour of the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) facilities at Changi Naval Base. During the visit, Admiral Zulhelmy and the RMN delegation were briefed at the Multinational Operation and Exercise Centre (MOEC) before visiting the Information Fusion Centre and the Submarine Training School. The tour concluded with a visit to the RSS Supreme, a frigate of the RSN. Admiral Zulhelmy also attended the opening ceremony of Exercise MALAPURA, a bilateral exercise between Malaysia and Singapore, which was officiated by Rear Admiral Kwan Hon Chuong, Fleet Commander of the RSN. This year’s exercise includes RMN assets KD Lekiu, KD Lekir, and KD Gempita and aims to strengthen cooperation, enhance mutual capabilities, and deepen trust between the two navies. This engagement highlights both nations’ commitment to regional maritime security and the operational readiness of their respective naval forces. Beliau bersama delegasi TLDM telah diberi taklimat di Multinational Operation and Exercise Centre (MOEC) dan kemudian dibawa melawat ke Information Fusion Centre dan Submarine Trainning School. Sesi lawatan berakhir di RSS SUPREME. Laksamana Datuk Zulhelmy turut hadir ke majlis pembukaan Eksesais MALAPURA yang telah disempurnakan oleh Rear Admiral Kwan Hon Chuong, Fleet Commander Republic of Singapore Navy.
