She was driving a Proton Saga when it collided head-on with a military truck. The incident took place at approximately 2:24 AM. Preliminary investigations suggest that Manisya, who worked at Telekom’s call center in Ayer Keroh, was returning home to Taman Masjid Tanah Ria. It’s believed she may have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing her vehicle to veer into the opposite lane and collide with the military truck. The truck’s driver, a 33-year-old man named Muhammad Azuddin Alias, sustained a broken arm and was transported to the hospital for further treatment. Four other military personnel in the truck were unharmed. Deputy Chief of Alor Gajah District Police, Deputy Superintendent Azrul Mohamed, noted that evidence indicates the military truck attempted to brake, as evidenced by a 12-meter skid mark at the scene. Manisya was trapped in her severely damaged car and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. Her body was extricated with assistance from the Alor Gajah Fire and Rescue Department and sent to the Forensic Unit of Alor Gajah Hospital for a post-mortem examination. All vehicles involved have been impounded for further investigation and will undergo technical inspections at the Computerized Vehicle Inspection Center (Puspakom). Authorities are currently seeking witnesses to assist in the investigation, which is being conducted under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Like this:Like Loading... Related
