Exercise Keris Strike 30/2025 Reinforces Strategic Ties and International Military Cooperation

IPOH, 17 July 2025 – Deputy Chief of the Malaysian Army, Lieutenant General Dato’ Tengku Muhammad Fauzi bin Tengku Ibrahim, officiated the Opening Ceremony of Exercise Keris Strike Series 30/2025 at the parade ground of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Ranger Regiment, Ipoh today.

This multinational exercise marks a continued collaboration between the Malaysian Army (TDM), Australian Army (TDA), and the United States Army Pacific Command (USARPAC). It serves as a strategic platform to strengthen defence cooperation, improve joint operational readiness (interoperability), and enhance diplomatic military relations among the three nations.

In his address, Lt Gen Dato’ Tengku Muhammad Fauzi emphasised that such exercises are not merely military drills but reflect a shared commitment to regional stability, confidence-building between armed forces, and continuous professional development of army personnel.

Running from 17 to 29 July 2025, the exercise includes a wide range of combined training components such as:

  • Staff Exercise (STAFFEX)
  • Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE)
  • Cross Training Exercise (CTX)
  • Field Training Exercise (FTX)

With the participation of hundreds of personnel from all three nations, Exercise Keris Strike 30/2025 is expected to serve as a vital catalyst in enhancing collective defence capabilities and regional military synergy.
