Kuala Lumpur, 30 December 2021 – The Chief of Defence Force, General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hj. Affendi bin Buang RMAF together with his wife, His Highness (YAM) Tengku Puteri Seri Teja Puan Sri Hajah Tengku Muhaini binti Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah who is also the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Family Welfare Body (BAKAT), have attended the ceremony to present aid to flood victims by the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) located at Wisma Perwira MAF.
The flood relief presentation ceremony of donations from the UAE was delivered by H.E. Khalid Ghanim Alghaith (UAE Ambassador) to CDF and also presented to the Chairman of the Supreme Council of BAKAT MAF to be distributed to MAF personnel and families affected by the recent floods in several states.
The donation items consist of prayer rugs, Al-Quran, telekung, kitchen dryers, rice, cooking oil and hygiene kits, sheets, mattresses, towels, blankets and pillows. This can to some extent alleviate the burden borne by them.
BAKAT MAF, which looks after the welfare of the families of military personnel, also plays a role with its members to jointly help channel the donations received to military personnel and affected families. At the same time, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of BAKAT MAF also intends to expand the role of BAKAT in channeling contributions to the affected locals in line with the slogan of BAKAT which is “Bersama Berbakti”. In other words, the devotional service rendered is not only to the family members of the MAF but also extended to the general public to respond to the government’s call to succeed in the concept of “Malaysian Family”.
The MAF is very grateful for the concern and assistance contributed by the UAE Government in helping those affected by the floods, especially to the military and their families.

Kuala Lumpur, 30 Disember 2021 – Panglima Angkatan Tentera, Jeneral Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hj. Affendi bin Buang TUDM bersama isteri, Yang Amat Mulia (YAM) Tengku Puteri Seri Teja Puan Sri Hajah Tengku Muhaini binti Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah yang juga Pengerusi Jemaah Tertinggi Badan Kebajikan Keluarga Angkatan Tentera (BAKAT) telah menyempurnakan majlis penyampaian bantuan mangsa banjir oleh Kerajaan United Arab Emirates (UAE) kepada Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) bertempat di Wisma Perwira ATM.
Majlis penyampaian bantuan banjir sumbangan daripada UAE ini telah disampaikan oleh H.E. Khalid Ghanim Alghaith (UAE Ambassador) kepada Panglima Angkatan Tentera dan turut disampaikan kepada Pengerusi Jemaah Tertinggi BAKAT ATM untuk diagihkan kepada warga ATM dan keluarga yang terkesan dengan musibah banjir di beberapa buah negeri baru-baru ini.
Barangan sumbangan ini terdiri daripada sejadah, Al-Quran, telekung, barang kering dapur, beras, minyak masak dan hygiene kit, cadar, tilam, tuala, selimut serta bantal. Ini sedikit sebanyak dapat meringankan beban yang ditanggung mereka.
Organisasi BAKAT ATM yang menjaga kebajikan hal ehwal keluarga anggota tentera turut memainkan peranan bersama ahli-ahlinya untuk bersama membantu menyalurkan sumbangan yang diterima kepada warga tentera dan keluarga yang terkesan. Pada masa yang sama, Pengerusi Jemaah Tertinggi BAKAT ATM juga berhasrat untuk meluaskan peranan BAKAT dalam menyalurkan sumbangan kepada penduduk setempat yang terkesan seiring dengan slogan BAKAT iaitu “Bersama Berbakti”. Erti kata lain, khidmat bakti yang dicurahkan tidak hanya kepada ahli keluarga ATM sahaja malah diperluaskan kepada mayarakat umum bagi menyahut seruan kerajaan menjayakan konsep “Keluarga Malaysia”.
Sesungguhnya ATM amat berterima kasih dengan keprihatinan dan bantuan yang disumbangkan oleh Kerajaan UAE ini dalam membantu mereka yang terkesan dengan bencana banjir terutama kepada warga tentera dan keluarga mereka.
