KUALA LUMPUR, 19 October – The second session of the 2023 Armed Forces Heroic Order Military Service Investment Ceremony (DKAT) took place at the Balairung Seri, Istana Negara with the participation of 292 recipients.
Under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, the Panglima Gagah Angkatan Tentera (PGAT) Honorary Heroic Order was graciously conferred upon 2 recipients, the Panglima Setia Angkatan Tentera (PSAT) Heroic Order upon 9 recipients, the Armed Forces Heroic Order upon 43 recipients, the Kesatria Angkatan Tentera Heroic Order upon 112 recipients, and the Bentara Angkatan Tentera Heroic Order upon 126 recipients.
Accompanying His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda the Yang di-Pertuan Agong was Her Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah binti Almarhum AlMutawakkil Alallah Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj.
Air Chief Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian National Armed Forces – Air Force, and Major General Kelvin Khong, Chief of the Republic of Singapore Air Force, were foreign senior officers who received the Honorary PGAT for the second session.
Among the Navy People who received medals today were Rear Admiral Mohd Fadzli Kamal bin Mohaldin, Director-General of Defence Cyber and Electromagnetic Division; Rear Admiral Hj Satria Sarawak bin Hj Jais, Assistant Chief of Staff, Materials; and Rear Admiral Rohana binti Jupri (Retired).
Also present were the Chief of Defence Force, General Tan Sri Datuk Seri Mohammad bin Ab Rahman; the Chief of Navy, Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Rahman bin Ayob; and the Chief of Air Force, General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Asghar Khan bin Goriman Khan RMAF.
At the Ministry of Defence level, the Deputy Minister of Defence, YB Adly bin Zahari, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defense, Datuk Seri Isham Ishak, were also in attendance.
