Butterworth, 5th October 2021 – Lt Gen Dato’ Hj Yazid bin Hj Arshad RMAF, has officiated the opening of Exercise BERSAMA GOLD 2021(BG21).

Ex BG21 is a Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) exercise involving assets from Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and United Kingdom. 10 ships, 1 submarine, 25 fighter aircrafts, 6 support aircraft, 6 organic helicopters and more than 2000 personnel participating in Ex BG 21.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, Ex BG21 will be held in Malaysia Economic Exclusive Zone (EEZ) and will comprise contactless activities.
