MAF and TNI-AD Conducts Eksesais Keris Kartika Malaysia & Indonesia (KEKAR MALINDO) 44AB/2021

SRI AMAN, 23 November 2021 – The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) through the Malaysian Army (TDM) continues to strengthen understanding and increase the level of readiness and professionalism with the Indonesian National Armed Forces – Army (TNI -AD) through the conduct of Exercise Keris Kartika Malaysian & Indonesian (KEKAR MALINDO) Series 44AB/2021 which will last for 12 days from 22 November to 2 December 2021 around Sri Aman, Engkelili, Lubok Antu and Semanju.

This is a bilateral exercise held annually involving two phases, namely the Command Post Exercise and the Field Training Exercise. A total of 17 officers and 344 members from the 13th Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment (13 RMR) represented TDM while TNI-AD was represented by the YONIF Raider 641 Beruang consisting of 10 officers along with 122 members of other ranks.

The objective of this exercise is to test the commander and staff officers at the infantry battalion level in carrying out joint operations and increase the ability of both parties to carry out operations in the context of Conventional Warfare. In addition, the conduct of this exercise also aims to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries as well as increase the level of preparedness to face any future enemy threats.

Brigadier General Mohd Kamil bin Haji Abdul Latiff, Commander of 3rd Brigade officiated the Opening Ceremony which was held at Pakit Camp, Sri Aman. The opening ceremony was also attended by TNI Brigadier General Djauhari, S. E., Chief of Staff of KODAM XII/ Tanjungpura.

SRI AMAN, 23 November 2021 – Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) menerusi Tentera Darat Malaysia (TDM) terus memperkasakan kesefahaman dan meningkatkan tahap kesiagaan serta profesionalisme bersama Tentera Nasional Indonesia – Angkatan Darat (TNI-AD) menerusi perlaksanaan Eksesais Keris Kartika Malaysia & Indonesia (KEKAR MALINDO) Siri 44AB/2021 yang berlangsung selama 12 hari bermula 22 November hingga 2 Disember 2021 di sekitar kawasan Sri Aman, Engkelili, Lubok Antu dan Semanju.

Eksesais ini merupakan latihan bilateral yang diadakan setiap tahun melibatkan dua fasa iaitu Eksesais Pos Pemerintah (Command Post Exercise) dan Eksesais Trup Medan (Field Training Exercise). Seramai 17 pegawai dan 344 anggota dari pasukan Batalion ke 13 Rejimen Askar Melayu Diraja (13 RAMD) mewakili TDM manakala TNI-AD diwakili pasukan YONIF Raider 641 Beruang yang terdiri daripada 10 pegawai bersama 122 anggota lain-lain pangkat telah terlibat di dalam eksesais ini.

Objektif eksesais ini adalah untuk menguji pemerintah dan pegawai staf di peringkat batalion infantri dalam melaksanakan operasi gabungan dan meningkatkan keupayaan kedua-dua pihak bagi melaksanakan operasi dalam konteks Peperangan Konvensional (Conventional Warfare). Disamping itu juga, pelaksanaan eksesais ini juga bertujuan untuk mengeratkan lagi hubungan antara kedua-dua Negara serta meningkatkan tahap kesiagaan bagi menghadapi sebarang ancaman musuh yang mendatang.

Brigedier Jeneral Mohd Kamil bin Haji Abdul Latiff, Panglima 3 Briged telah menyempurnakan Majlis Pembukaan yang telah diadakan di Kem Pakit, Sri Aman. Majlis pembukaan itu juga turut dihadiri oleh Brigadir Jenderal TNI Djauhari, S. E., Kepala Staf KODAM XII/ Tanjungpura.
