The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) and the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) have implemented integrated training in the Wira Helo Exercise Series 6/22. The exercise which was held on 29 June 22 involved the EC 725 AP and AW 139 helicopter assets. The exercise was successful in collaboration with RMN ships including KD LEKIU and was carried out at a distance of 10 nautical miles from Pangkor Island.

Helicopters EC 725 AP and AW 139 have conducted “Deck Landing Training” (DLT), “High Line Transfer” (HLT) exercises on board KD LEKIU and “photo interpreter” for survey purposes. Through such training, it can further increase the understanding of the crew of the assets involved, including members of the RMN, especially in assisting the rescue process using helicopters if there are injuries on ships belonging to the RMN.

LATIHAN BERSEPADU TUDM DAN TLDM DIPERKASA DALAM EKSESAIS WIRA HELO 6/22

Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) dan Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) telah melaksanakan latihan bersepadu dalam Eksesais Wira Helo Siri 6/22. Eksesais yang telah diadakan pada pada 29 Jun 22 melibatkan penglibatan aset helikopter EC 725 AP dan AW 139. Latihan ini dijayakan dengan kerjasama kapal TLDM dengan penglibatan kapal KD LEKIU dan dilaksanakan pada jarak 10 batu nautika dari Pulau Pangkor.

Helikopter EC 725 AP dan AW 139 telah membuat eksesais “Deck Landing Training” (DLT), “High Line Transfer” (HLT) di atas kapal KD LEKIU serta “photo interpreter” bagi tujuan tinjauan. Melalui latihan sebegini, ia dapat menambahkan lagi pemahaman anak kapal aset-aset terlibat termasuk anggota TLDM khususnya dalam membantu proses menyelamat menggunakan helikopter sekiranya terdapat kecederaan di atas kapal milik TLDM.
