RMAF Tests Competence and Readiness of Logistic Support in FTX a Paradise 9/22

The Air Delivery Section (SHU) of the RMAF has carried out training that covers theory and practical training focusing on load preparation, load inspection, Sling Load Operation and air drop involving “Heavy Equipment”, “Container Delivery System”, “Low Cost Low Altitude” and “Combat Rubber Rescue Craft (CRRC)” belonging to the RMAF Special Forces (PASKAU) with the involvement of RMAF transport aircraft namely C130H and A400M and EC 725 AP helicopters.

The “Drop Zone Recovery Team” (DZRT) tasked at DZ Penor and Nangka is responsible for carrying out the reception through “recovery” of equipment and supplies that have been dropped.

This exercise aims to test the ability of SHU RMAF members to carry out Air Logistics Assistance operations if needed in any form of mission implementation and operational maneuvers such as the operation of dropping “Air Droppable Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat” and CRRC for search and rescue missions (Search and Rescue) pilots or victims plane crash in the ocean carried out with the Maritime Para Rescue Team, PASKAU.

For FTX PARADISE 9/22 this time, airdrops involving A400M aircraft were also carried out for the “Tactical Live Training” Phase for the first time and this gave the RMAF SHU members an opportunity to improve their tactical capabilities for the implementation of airdrop operations.

The exercise also involved teams from 10th Company of the Royal Service Corps (Para) in airdrop and Sling Load Operation exercises. The precise cooperation between these two teams in the implementation of the Air Logistics Assistance operation indirectly shows the effectiveness to make FTX PARADISE 9/22 a success this time.
