MAF and CAAM Strengthen Cooperation in National Airspace Sovereignty Management

GENTING HIGHLAND, 16 November 2022 – The Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) and the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) continue to strengthen the close cooperation between the Departments to manage and protect the sovereignty of the country’s airspace through the implementation of the Main Air Management Committee Meeting (JIPRUA) ) series 2/2022 which was held at Hotel Sri Malaysia Genting Highland on 9 and 10 Nov 22.

This bi-annual meeting was chaired by the Assistant Chief of Staff Defence Planning (AKS PP), Maj Gen Dato’ Hj Saharuddin bin Mansor together with CAAM’s Chief Executive Officer, Capt. Norazman bin Mahmud as well as involving other government agencies such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (KLN), Ministry of Transport Malaysia (MOT), National Security Council (MKN), Telekom Malaysia (TM), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM) and Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM).

GENTING HIGHLAND, 16 November 2022 – Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) dan Pihak Berkuasa Penerbangan Awam Malaysia (Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia – CAAM) terus memperkukuhkan Kerjasama erat diantara Jabatan bagi mengurus serta menjaga kedaulatan ruang udara negara menerusi perlaksanaan Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Induk Pengurusan Udara (JIPRUA) siri 2/2022 yang telah diadakan di Hotel Sri Malaysia Genting Highland pada 9 dan 10 Nov 22 yang lalu.

Mesyuarat yang diadakan dwi tahunan ini telah dipengerusikan oleh Assisten Ketua Staf Perancangan Pertahanan (AKS PP), Mej Jen Dato’Hj Saharuddin bin Mansor bersama Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif CAAM, Kapt. Norazman bin Mahmud serta turut melibatkan agensi kerajaan lain seperti Kementerian Luar Negara (KLN), Kementerian Pengangkutan Malaysia (MOT), Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN), Telekom Malaysia (TM), Polis Diraja Malaysia ( Royal Malaysia Police ) (PDRM), Agensi Penguatkuasaan Maritim Malaysia (APMM) dan Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (JBPM).
