The app, developed by Perwira Niaga Malaysia (PERNAMA) Network in collaboration with Mastercard International, is set to benefit the military community economically.

“This app will economically benefit the military community by delivering tailored digital transformation for defence personnel, veterans, and all subsidiaries under MINDEF’s purview.

“Among the features offered are Financial Services, E-Marketplace, exclusive discounts and loyalty rewards, Government Connect Module, integrated health and wellness features, and an e-Learning hub,” said Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin.

He was speaking at the Ministry of Defence’s breaking-of-fast event with media practitioners at Hotel Royale Chulan yesterday.

Approximately 300 media practitioners were honoured at the event.

Elaborating further, Mohamed Khaled explained that the financial services feature introduced in the app will allow users to check their latest salary status, access a secure digital wallet, pay bills, and utilise financial analysis tools to enhance financial literacy and user well-being.

He added that the E-Marketplace function will enable the MINDEF community to make online purchases via the e-Marketplace and PERNAMA Online Store.

“Users will also receive exclusive discounts and loyalty rewards when using the app, with every purchase earning them points that can be redeemed for special rewards,” he said.

At the same event, Mohamed Khaled also launched the JanaVeteran Programme Initiative, a collaboration between Boustead Plantations Berhad (BPlant) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (JHEV).

The programme focuses on two main efforts: a fertigation-based ginger and chilli cultivation programme and a veteran agripreneur initiative, aimed at helping ATM veterans secure a stable income through agriculture.
