Exercise Jungle Falcon Series 2/2025 Strengthens Malaysia-UAE Defence Cooperation Defence Relations Ops & Training 26th April 202527th April 2025 KUANTAN, 26 April 2025 – The Exercise Jungle Falcon Series 2/2025 between the Malaysian Army (TDM) and the United Arab Emirates Land Forces (UAELF) concluded with full ceremonial honours at FELDA Sungai Panching Timur, Kuantan, Pahang. The event was graced by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, witnessed by Chief of Defence Force, General Datuk Hj Mohd Nizam bin Hj Jaffar, Chief of Army, General Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Muhammad Hafizuddeain bin Jantan, UAE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Staff Lieutenant General Eisa Saif Mohamed bin Ablan Almazrouei, Commander of the UAE Land Forces, Staff Major General Yousef Maayouf Saeed Humaid Al Hallami, and UAE Ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Mubarak Saeed Ahmed Burshaid Aldhaheri. The bilateral exercise, conducted from 14 to 26 April 2025, involved 77 officers and 766 other ranks from both nations. Centred on Mechanised Operations and Special Operations within a conventional warfare context, the exercise aimed to test the physical and mental resilience of personnel, strengthen operational readiness, and refine existing standard operating procedures. Key training activities included Mechanised Assaults, Combat Deployment, Heavy Weapons Live Firing Exercises, and Special Operations simulations, replicating real-world battlefield conditions. In His Majesty’s address, the Sultan of Pahang expressed gratitude to Allah SWT for the successful completion of the exercise. His Majesty conveyed deep pride and appreciation for the outstanding performance and involvement of the Malaysian Armed Forces’ assets throughout the exercise. His Majesty emphasised that the success of Jungle Falcon Series 2/2025 reflected the outcome of rigorous, continuous training that not only built physical and mental strength but also instilled discipline, bravery, camaraderie, and a profound love for the homeland. The Sultan also commended the strong cooperation demonstrated between Malaysia and the UAE, which reaffirmed both nations’ commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties and strategic interests in the region. His Majesty expressed hope that the skills, knowledge, and values gained from this exercise would be practised diligently and with integrity, fostering a generation of warriors who are not only competent on the battlefield but also wise, decisive, and dedicated to serving the nation. Following His Majesty’s departure, the event continued with the ceremonial removal of the Toha — symbolising the conclusion of Jungle Falcon Exercise Series 2/2025. The ceremony was officiated by the Chief of Defence Force Malaysia and the UAE Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Eisa Saif Mohamed bin Ablan Almazrouei. During the ceremony, Staff Lieutenant General H.E. Eisa Saif Mohamed bin Ablan Almazrouei, on behalf of the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the Government of Malaysia and its people for the warm hospitality and the successful organisation of the exercise. He highlighted that the exercise showcased the high level of coordination and integration between the two armed forces, strengthening the bonds of friendship and defence cooperation to ensure regional peace and stability. In a statement, the Malaysian Army extended its deepest gratitude to all parties involved, particularly the Pahang State Government, security agencies, and the local community, for their unwavering support throughout the exercise. The Army reaffirmed that joint training initiatives such as this serve as vital platforms to enhance national defence capabilities and expand strategic partnerships in the pursuit of global stability and security.
