Promotion of Malaysian Army ACOS Intelligence and Senior Officers Parade & Ceremony 3rd April 20213rd April 2021 KUALA LUMPUR, 2 April 2021: The Chief Army (COA), Gen Tan Sri Datuk Zamrose Mohd Zain called on all senior officers who have been promoted to always strive to provide the best service with honesty, sincerity and high seriousness. He also reminded to use experience and wisdom in decision making in order to bring benefits and significant impact to the Army (TD). “Failure to carry the trust given will definitely have a bad effect on the brothers and sisters and on Army as a whole. “In facing various challenges as leaders, brothers and sisters need to have the courage to make critical decisions quickly and accurately,” said COA during his speech at the Army Senior Officer Promotion Ceremony at Zulkifeli Zin Hall, Wisma Perwira TD on 2 Apr 2021. He added that he believed that those who were promoted had the knowledge and skills in their respective areas of expertise, but the ability to make the right decision depends on wisdom in assessing the situation and making thoughtful judgments. Meanwhile, in his reply speech, the Assistant Chief of Staff Intelligence, Lt Gen Dato’ Rezil Shahidin who represented all senior officers who were promoted, thanked the top leadership of the Army, especially and the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), in general for the blessing that enabled them to go one step further in their careers. “Indeed, we are very grateful for this sustenance that does not come as easy as that because the twists and trials that we go through to reach this level are different for each officer. “This promotion is not just a reward, but more to symbolise the trust and confidence of the Army leadership that we need to maintain and we are determined to continue to give the best for the country and our beloved services, especially the Army,” said ACOS Intelligence. He also said that nature alone is not able to meet the target of the task or go against the flow of services, instead their success today is thanks to the strong support and assistance of all parties. Earlier, COA attended the promotion ceremony for 47 senior Army officers, starting with Maj Gen Dato’ Rezil Shahidin who was promoted to Lt Gen and remained in the post of ACOS Intelligence. Apart from that, two senior officers were promoted to the rank of Maj Gen, namely Brig Gen Dato’ Abdul Aziz Ismail and Brig Gen Dr. Kwong Fook Wen while six senior officers were promoted to the rank of Brig Gen, 10 senior officers were promoted to the rank of Col and 28 senior officers were promoted to the rank of Lt Col. Also present were the Deputy Chief of Army, Lt Gen Dato’ Mohammad Ab Rahman, Director General of Defence Intelligence, Lt Gen Datuk Ahmad Norihan Jalal, Army Western Field Commander, Lt Gen Datuk Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan and Director General of Health Services, Lt Gen Dato’ Pahlawan (Dr) Md Amin Muslan. Beri Khidmat Bakti Yang Terbaik – PTD KUALA LUMPUR: Panglima Tentera Darat, Jen Tan Sri Datuk Zamrose Mohd Zain menyeru kepada semua pegawai kanan yang dinaikkan pangkat untuk sentiasa berusaha memberikan khidmat bakti yang terbaik dengan penuh kejujuran keikhlasan dan kesungguhan yang tinggi. Beliau juga mengingatkan agar gunakanlah pengalaman dan kebijaksanaan dalam membuat keputusan supaya ianya dapat membawa kebaikan dan kesan yang signifikan kepada Tentera Darat (TD). “Kegagalan memikul amanah yang diberi pastinya akan membawa kesan yang buruk kepada diri saudara dan saudari serta kepada TD secara keseluruhannya. “Dalam menghadapi pelbagai cabaran sebagai pemimpin, saudara dan saudari perlu memiliki keberanian untuk membuat keputusan yang kritikal dengan pantas dan tepat,” jelas PTD semasa ucapannya dalam Majlis Pemakaian Pangkat Pegawai Kanan TD di Dewan Zulkifeli Zin, Wisma Perwira TD pada 2 Apr 2021. Tambahnya lagi, beliau percaya mereka yang dinaikkan pangkat memiliki ilmu dan kemahiran dalam bidang kepakaran masing-masing, namun keupayaan mengambil keputusan yang tepat adalah bergantung kepada kebijaksanaan dalam menilai keadaan dan membuat pertimbangan yang bernas. Menurut PTD pemimpin yang adil pasti akan menerima rahmat di hari kebangkitan nanti serta menyeru mereka berlaku adil terhadap semua dan jangan mengamalkan favouritism dan perbuatan pilih kasih. Sementara itu dalam ucapan balas Asisten Ketua Staf Perisikan, Lt Jen Dato’ Rezil Shahidin yang mewakili semua pegawai kanan yang dinaikkan pangkat mengucapkan terima kasih kepada pucuk pimpinan TD, khasnya dan Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM), amnya atas restu yang membolehkan mereka melangkah setingkat lagi dalam kerjaya. “Sesungguhnya, kami amat bersyukur atas rezeki ini yang datangnya tidak semudah itu kerana liku-liku dan dugaan yang kami tempuhi untuk mencapai ke tahap ini adalah berbeza-beza bagi setiap pegawai. “Kenaikkan pangkat ini bukan sekadar satu ganjaran, tetapi lebih kepada melambangkan kepercayaan dan keyakinan pucuk pimpinan TD yang perlu kami jaga dan kami berazam untuk terus memberi yang terbaik demi negara dan perkhidmatan yang tercinta khususnya TD,” jelas AKS Perisikan. Beliau juga mengatakan kudrat semata-mata tidak mampu menepati sasaran tugas atau menongkah arus perkhidmatan sebaliknya kejayaan mereka hari ini adalah berkat hasil sokongan dan bantuan padu semua pihak. Terdahulu dari itu PTD menyempurnakan acara pemakaian pangkat kepada 47 pegawai kanan TD dimulai dengan Mej Jen Dato’ Rezil Shahidin yang dinaikkan pangkat Lt Jen dan kekal menjawat jawatan AKS Perisikan. Selain itu dua pegawai kanan dinaikkan pangkat Mej Jen iaitu Brig Jen Dato’ Abdul Aziz Ismail dan Brig Jen Dr. Kwong Fook Wen manakala enam pegawai kanan dinaikkan pangkat Brig Jen, 10 pegawai kanan dinaikkan pangkat Kol dan 28 pegawai kanan dinaikkan pangkat Lt Kol. Turut hadir Timbalan Panglima Tentera Darat, Lt Jen Dato’ Mohammad Ab Rahman, Ketua Pengarah Perisikan Pertahanan, Lt Jen Datuk Ahmad Norihan Jalal, Panglima Medan Barat Tentera Darat, Lt Jen Datuk Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan dan Ketua Pengarah Perkhidmatan Kesihatan, Lt Jen Dato’ Pahlawan (Dr) Md Amin Muslan.
